I recently took an assessment at LearningRx along with my son, and I was very impressed with the entire experience. The staff was professional, welcoming, and explained everything clearly. My 15-year-old son has now started brain training sessions, and we’re already seeing how engaged and motivated he is. It’s been a great step for his development, and I appreciate the personalized attention and structure they provide.
Our son is 8 years old and has struggled since 3 years old to focus. Starting to learn to read and figuring out letters has been very difficult…Mel is motivating to him and continues to push him to his potential. In the first month the change we saw in our son’s focus was jaw dropping!..Within 3 months of beginning the program our son has started to read full homework page assignments and complete them on his own! Mel and this program has completely changed our lives to which we will be eternally grateful.
Our plan was individually tailored to our daughter’s needs, with essential measure of success and effectiveness built into it. Everyone involved, from the director to the trainer, support staff, etc. were very helpful. Lastly, high levels of communication were maintained and encouraged throughout the process.
Our son made amazing gains over the course of his time at LearningRx. In comparison to medication and other things we have tried, we have seen the most significant change from the LearningRx program. His memory has improved. He used to not be able to remember anything that occurred in his classes at school and now he can remember most of the key points and has even begun taking a few notes.
Learning RX was a great way to bring some excitement out in our daughter when it comes to learning! She really improved in so much and has sooo much more confidence in herself, her ability to problem solve and her overall attitude about math and school work. She had the most incredible trainer Caitlin…Imani is so easy to communicate with, listens and engages with the students and parents so well. Marilyn was always very welcoming and we appreciated her a ton!
Homework was a nightly battle—three hours of stress, tears, and very little progress. Then we found LearningRx. We went in for the evaluation, and for the first time, we saw a new approach—one that focused on how the brain learns, not just what to learn. That summer, Rosa started the program. At first, it wasn’t easy getting her there, but the team made it fun and engaging. Pretty soon, she was the one reminding me it was time to go. She finished the program, got her picture on the wall, and something just clicked.
Our son was struggling with reading comprehension, and this was affecting many subjects as he entered middle school. He would study for tests and work on homework for hours at night. The grades he received did not reflect the work he was putting in which led to much frustration. Tutoring and extra help at school did not seem to help. Once we met with Tiffany and she explained the LearningRx model and how it was different from tutoring, we felt it was exactly what our son needed. And wow…did we see fast results.
The team here at LearningRx was really phenomenal! They worked with my son to help him with his logical reasoning and executive functioning skills, and I really see the difference it has made it our lives. The staff was really responsive and flexible, and my son loved his instructors. I really recommend this place for anyone struggling with management or organizational skills!
Dargan and Michelle were amazing to work with at LearningRx Charlottesville, walking along side us each step of the way and doing everything they could to make our experience a successful one. Camila was really having a hard time with the language barrier in Kinder and overall learning. My daughter is a senior in high school and has struggled in school all her life. She has had tutors on and off for over 10 years. Her biggest struggles were with her processing both visual and auditory, memorizing math facts and problem solving to name a few. They were very understanding and flexible with her training sessions because she is a very busy student. They met three days a week online for about six months and now after those six months, she has improved in every area and is doing better in school and has much more confidence in herself. She now has a good foundation to be successful in life.

Following a hospital stay for long Covid, I became aware that LearningRx was offering a program to help clients that had experienced this disease. The program was creative, and I actually enjoyed the cognitive challenge of each session as I advanced thru the skills . Following this program I feel that I am now much more productive than I use to be and it’s easier to adjust to changes in routines.
LearningRx has a positive and fun environment that makes learning fun for my 8-year-old who needs help with reading. All the staff are friendly and care about each individual child. In just a few short months I have seen a more positive attitude and more self confidence in my son.

I am certain that my brain works better now than it did even before I got sick. I am thrilled and appreciative. My children (ages 7 and 8) have also trained and have seen great results. Great program! My son completed about 4 months of the program and made such a huge change! I wasn’t for sure until I saw the numbers go up! The program director Mrs Donesa was great and very accommodating! My son’s instructor was also great as well, they align the kids to who suits them best, which is great! I would highly recommend.
We had our 11th grade son go to LearningRx because he was struggling with reading comprehension and listening comprehension. We were a bit worried that it would be too elementary as the other programs we looked into were. We were pleasantly surprised by the result and highly recommend it to anyone! LearningRx is an incredible learning facility! When I first enrolled my niece, she struggled with reading and comprehension. It was incredibly hard to keep her focused. We feared that she may have to repeat 2nd grade but after the patience and guidance of her trainer, Mr. Phil, she ended the school year with Honor Roll and a ticket to 3rd grade! Donesa and her staff are amazing.
I now have so much more focus in my day-to-day tasks and can make decisions 1 million times easier instead of spinning my wheels and not getting anything done. Desmond has been known in school for his high intelligence and ability to catch on to concepts and even help his peers understand. Yet, even from a young age he was sometimes labeled as “defiant” or “lazy” because he would forget to put away a chair, or turn in his homework, or even remember to write down he had homework. My 24 year old daughter has Down Syndrome…Before Learning RX my daughter had tried many ways to learn to read, and she would always get stuck on blending words. Learning RX’s expertise on the brain and learning has proved that my daughter can read. LearningRx has been the best thing we have decided to do for our kids. We have both of our kids in an individual program, 8-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son. Our son has dyslexia and ADHD. He has struggled in school even with an IEP at school and other touting outside of school. He has had so many achievements this school year. Our daughter was just a little behind grade level. She has caught up and is enjoying school for the first time.

My son also struggles with memory issues among other things, and it’s been so fun to see his memory strengthened and his ability to tell us more things and share more details and even do more things on his own.
