From the moment I contacted Maureen to the last day, communication was clear, prompt, and professional. Our concerns about Omar were addressed, and a clear plan of action was given to us. A huge bonus was that Omar actually looked forward to going to see his teacher Tully and later Katie. On several occasions, I’ve heard Omar telling his friends how LearningRx is the best kind of tutoring he’s had because it’s “actually fun.”
We came in looking for additional help, especially in reading, for our son who is so bright but was struggling with his schoolwork. The assessment affirmed what we thought as far as some cognitive skills which needed strengthening. I homeschool so I’ve been able to give him tons of one-on-one tutoring, but the improvement has been so slow. The confidence he has gained, even during the difficult parts. Everybody is always so positive and uplifting. He is better at sticking to the difficult parts and can himself see his own improvements. Logan has improved almost 2 full grade levels in reading. He has more stamina for reading. He is retaining math information better, and knows he is now ‘really good’ at math.

We saw significant improvement in our daughter’s reading ability and fluency and know that it was from the work she did during her sessions at LearningRx. Our daughter started LearningRx being unable to read. She could sound out CVC words but was unable to blend the sounds together to say the word. She is now able to sound out many words, blend them together, and even read words without having to sound them out. She is able to read short stories. She used to dislike going to school as she would get frustrated with being unable to do the work. She now enjoys school and has a great attitude about going.

LearningRx’s program is absolutely amazing and has made such a HUGE impact on our daughters’ life. When our daughter started this program, at 6 years old, she could barely recognize/recall the alphabet or count past 10 and now, at 7 years old, she is able to read 4 letter words and do difficult addition math problems. She went from having zero confidence in the classroom and trying to hide, to occasionally raising her hand to answer questions. Not only is the program amazing but so are the staff. They all truly care about every student and want to make sure everyone succeeds.
Molly did a great job as well. She helped explain the results, being thorough and clear with the plan. She was very good with Embry making sure to challenge her and encourage her.
Kenlee was really struggling as a student going into the 2nd grade. She had only been homeschooled. No matter what skills I tried, she was only reading on a kindergarten level and now within 6 months she is on grade level. Her confidence has grown, she is more focused during task, and her behavior is better.

We found LearningRx when we were seeking help for our 10 year old son, Gabe. Every year at school, we were told that his reading is below grade level. This was exhibited at home with nightly struggles to complete homework, usually entailing two hours of arguing, tears and frustration to complete 15 minutes of homework. Almost immediately, Gabe was reading things at random out loud to us. When school started in the fall, he started doing his homework by himself, without the usual coaxing and arguing.

Hearing the news that your daughter has dyslexia is quite frightening. As a parent all you see is your bright, beautiful, and perfect little girl.
