Shannon and Sofia did a spectacular job of encouraging and training a kid who has already significantly struggled in school and was very reluctant to engage in learning to open up out of her shell. They did an amazing job! To be fair, this is not an inexpensive tutoring service, but there is the potential for great improvement for kids who may have struggled with other academic support programs.
After doing so much research and not seeing any hope to help my son, I stumbled across LearningRx. We were skeptical but really put our faith in Gina and the program. Over the past 8 months, my son’s grades have increased, he’s a better student, and his confidence level has increased. We’re so happy with his results and we haven’t seen the post assessment results yet.

Working in Education for 18 years, I knew my 9 year old daughter needed something more than a reading tutor. Learning Rx provided an opportunity for her to retrain her brain versus getting academic support. This intensive cognitive reset is worth every minute and is simply invaluable. Her confidence and self esteem in the classroom has improved significantly and her focus and attention while reading is dramatic. My daughter just recently finished the program at LearningRX with Courtney and it was well worth the investment. LearningRx has made a HUGE difference in my son’s ability to read and write, as well as his math and attention-based skills in general. He and I had already worked very hard for years using Logic of English, and made progress, but it wasn’t enough to keep him at grade level. He’s gone from a 4th-grade level to an 8th-grade level in 9 months… Additionally, he’s been doing his work with his trainer, so he’s been able to make good use of his extra time at home.
Reading level has gone up. I have also noticed a huge improvement in Holden’s vocabulary. He still takes a while to process things but his ability to process thoughts has significantly improved.
Truly excellent program. Staff was excellent to work with. They kept us informed and were flexible with schedule changes when needed. My child’s progress was tremendous. Grades went up and her attitude towards school became more positive. I definitely recommend LearningRx.

I highly recommend the Atlanta Buckhead location of LearningRX! My child went through the cognitive training LearningRX program this year. LearningRX gives a pre- and post-test in a number of different areas and, relative to the pre-test, my child’s post-test showed tremendous, quantified improvement in almost every category that was part of the program! My child’s tutor, Christen, was amazing – smart, assertive with giving the right amount of push, adaptive, highly communicative, encouraging and dedicated!
The LearningRX program was extremely helpful for my child. We noticed the change come gradually as our child progressed through the program, saw increased confidence and changes in his approach to his studies. For us the change was subtle but noticeable, especially in his ability to focus on his tasks at hand. We have noticed that homework is being done faster and even being started on his own. He has less negative talk and less time lost through behavioral issues at school as a result of not understanding the material. I can’t put into words how absolutely grateful I am for Kathi and Doug sincerely. I sustained several injuries including a closed-head injury when a nail gun fell off of a roof and hit me directly on the head…I started with an initial 18-week program and could see the impact. So much so I extended the contract – I am currently over a year now as a client and I couldn’t have asked for a better brain trainer. I highly recommend for anyone recovering from injuries similar to mine.
My daughter is more confident and independent. She interrupts less and engages in conversation more seamlessly with people. She sits much more still in her chair, rather than fidgeting or always bringing her knees up to the table. She has improved time management skills and can follow through with several tasks at a time.

He was getting distracted really easily by other students and noises in the classroom and it hindered his ability to stay on task. I was nervous about the thought of him beginning to drive with how easily distracted he can get but after this program I have seen a huge difference in him. If your child is struggling to pay attention in a distracting school environment, feeling like they’re stupid, or not enjoying school because they’re having trouble completing tasks then this program is for them. The performance of the directors was incredibly supportive and very family oriented. Working with both of them to support our child was a privilege and honour.
