LearningRx was such a blessing for our family and especially for our little boy. He originally went for an updated evaluation for school and then after meeting with the owner Michelle, we learned about their Lift Off program. Our trainer Mrs. Aimee and all the staff became like family to us. The joy every trainer has for their job is evident. This is amazing place! His confidence has soared as a learner and to us, nothing can replace that.

Great improvement in reading skills, friendly staff. Isla’s reading skills improved drastically because of the LearningRx program. She is more confident, doing better in school and enjoys reading more now. We have already recommended the program to friends.
At home he is now willing to do his homework, where before he would have a tantrum every time. His school grades have made a noticeable improvement. At school his teacher has also noticed large improvements in his classroom behavior. His reading and spelling grades have improved.
Learning RX has been very beneficial for my 11 year old. I can see improvements already (just about 3 months) with her memory, attention and focus. She is also building confidence as she progresses through the exercises and the various levels. With her learning challenges, she has always struggled with self-esteem. Her trainer is hands-down amazing. She gives her the perfect amount of support while also pushing her to keep going forward when things get really challenging. I think learningRX is a great investment in yourself. I’m in my late 20’s and I want to be more confident in my reading and writing as I enter into a corporate career. My trainer was very encouraging and continued to work with me on my goals to improve everyday. The staff at this center is great and you will be well taken care of. Marlyn was great with all the scheduling of extra meetings or general questions I had whenever I called.
He does seem to get his work done quicker and more independently – depending on the subject. He is also writing more notes in class. He is not complaining anymore about reading although he still struggles with answering questions about what he read. His frustration level has improved some as well as persevering.

Returning to “learning” for my husband at 65 wasn’t easy, but the pace created for him and the variety in learning was so successful and engaging. The program really turned his life around for the better.
Overall it was a great experience and I have no complaints. It was well worth the drive and time spent to help our daughter. Her trainer, Kim, was fantastic and everyone was always helpful and nice. Our daughter showed great improvements and we are so thankful!

Great program! My son completed about 4 months of the program and made such a huge change! I wasn’t for sure until I saw the numbers go up! The program director Mrs Donesa was great and very accommodating! My son’s instructor was also great as well, they align the kids to who suits them best, which is great! I would highly recommend.
LearningRx is an incredible learning facility! When I first enrolled my niece, she struggled with reading and comprehension. It was incredibly hard to keep her focused. We feared that she may have to repeat 2nd grade but after the patience and guidance of her trainer, Mr. Phil, she ended the school year with Honor Roll and a ticket to 3rd grade! Donesa and her staff are amazing.
Since starting LearningRx, my children have gained confidence within themselves as well as their schoolwork. Their grades have improved, and schoolwork (homework) is not dreadful task like before. My children have also become more responsible. Not only at school, but at home as well,
Camila was really having a hard time with the language barrier in Kinder and overall learning. Gabrielle has shown consistent improvements in her schoolwork scores. She has told us that school seems easier. Above all, Gabby has learned skills that will help her be successful in whatever she chooses to do. Shannon and Sofia did a spectacular job of encouraging and training a kid who has already significantly struggled in school and was very reluctant to engage in learning to open up out of her shell. They did an amazing job! To be fair, this is not an inexpensive tutoring service, but there is the potential for great improvement for kids who may have struggled with other academic support programs.
The positive changes we have seen in our daughter showed us how valuable and effective the program is! Our daughter has improved in memory and working speed, and her reading skills have improved to a level that her teachers are bringing it up to us. Her self-confidence is willingness to learn new tasks has also improved greatly.
He has a better attention span, seems more organized and is able to be more flexible and less rigid. His speech is also more fluent and he is able to complete his work faster than before training.
For two or three years I knew something wasn’t right. The school kept telling me that he was at grade level and that it was okay. But it wasn’t okay, because he would avoid reading. We came [to LearningRx] in September and thy confirmed he had an auditory processing problem. It feels like the pressure is off my shoulders.
I’m a little over four months into the program, and overall everything has been fantastic. Nick has been a wonderful trainer, helping push my mental skills to their limits. I’ve seen improvements to my focus and concentration, and most importantly to me, I’ve felt much more confident In just about every way. I’m looking forward to taking the skills we’ve refined into furthering my education.
LearningRx has not only been a game changer in our daughters schoolwork and grades it has also helped her be self-confident. She does not procrastinate on her work and her grades have improved tremendously. She ended her last semester of school with a 3.9 GPA.

My daughter just recently finished the program at LearningRX with Courtney and it was well worth the investment. LearningRx was our saving grace. I searched high and low for services like this and finally found them. My son was struggling so bad in school and was so far behind his peers. This program has changed the course of the way this child will learn for a lifetime. This is not a band aid program. It doesn’t just cover underlying problems with your learning capabilities. This is a lifelong tool to success. My daughter (8 yo) has ADHD and auditory processing working against her, and we saw the impact that it was having on her ability to focus, memorize, read and spell. Fast forward in time, 100 hours of LearningRx completed, (signing on for 40 more because we can’t get enough) and my child is reading at her grade level, she is excited about school, she is passing tests, her focus is better, her memory is better! I will always consider this the best gift I could give my daughter.
This is an evidence-based training that was conducted with the utmost organization and professionalism and resulted in appreciable improvements in my child’s school performance but more importantly, on his well-being. I turned 68 and finished my training at RX Learning in Charlottesville a few weeks ago. Michelle, my trainer, made my experience enjoyable, beneficial and relevant. Some of the many benefits of the program for me include: improved ability to maintain focus for longer periods of time; improved ability to ignore distractions; improved long and short term memory; acquisition of problem solving skills that I use on a regular basis; and most importantly – knowing that I can tackle everyday life issues with confidence and flexibility.
LearningRx has unquestionably changed my life for the better. I discovered that you have to believe in yourself and keep pushing forward, even when it’s tough. Another outstanding aspect of LearningRx was the great sense of community. My trainers were always patient with me, even on my bad days. He plans ahead, he’s less reactive to adverse situations, less impulsive with decision making. He seems a lot more mature. And of course, he is reading voluntarily now!
After he completed the program the first year, his reading significantly improved along with his word attack. He loves to read and this really helped his confidence. I would highly recommend this program for anyone struggling with reading comprehension and math skills, especially if you tried traditional tutoring. This is not a tutoring program, it is building a foundation on how to process skills in order to perform well in all areas of life including school. I just finished training my brain with LearningRx and took my post assessment this week. Y’all, my scores went UP in every cognitive function category! I can concentrate all day on many different tasks and not get distracted or fatigued. I have always had to juggle many many things as an independent contractor and now I feel on top of all of them! Our daughter got the attention and skills she needed to become successful in school.
