Shannon and Sofia did a spectacular job of encouraging and training a kid who has already significantly struggled in school and was very reluctant to engage in learning to open up out of her shell. They did an amazing job! To be fair, this is not an inexpensive tutoring service, but there is the potential for great improvement for kids who may have struggled with other academic support programs.
LearningRx has helped push my 2 very genius girls to the next level by helping us understand how to continue to develop our already advanced children. Our son was struggling in school from the time he started Kindergarten. By 3rd grade our son was so frustrated and in tears over homework that I started to seek more answers…Then I found Learning RX. When we started this program he was on a Kindergarten to first-grade level at the age of eight. After ten months of training you can see the growth and confidence that he now has when completing his work and reading. He has increased his scores by 2 to 3 grade levels. I can’t put into words how absolutely grateful I am for Kathi and Doug sincerely. I sustained several injuries including a closed-head injury when a nail gun fell off of a roof and hit me directly on the head…I started with an initial 18-week program and could see the impact. So much so I extended the contract – I am currently over a year now as a client and I couldn’t have asked for a better brain trainer. I highly recommend for anyone recovering from injuries similar to mine.
It was amazing how this brain training positively affected every aspect of my 8-year old’s life, from comprehending what he read to learning and speaking to building confidence in himself and working through the meltdowns rather than shutting down. Homework time, discipline time, and times of losing are also a lot easier with new understanding. All of which will make his life lessons, now and in the future, easier to adapt to and learn from!

Working with Dr. Jackson and the staff at LearningRx has helped me understand where my 13-year-old son has struggles. His pretest showed that his auditory processing was around 6 years of age. The post test showed a significant 10-year gain which has resulted in less frustration when given tasks to complete. His visual, logic-reasoning and processing speed increased. When we brought our six year old son to Learning Rx he was in special ed for reading and math. He was spending more time in the principle’s office than in his classroom. He is now in regular class for both reading and math. He has not gone to the principle’s office this school year. When asked why he liked Learning Rx he stated that it helped his brain think like all the other kids. We highly recommend this program. The cost and the time spent is well worth the return.

The staff, program, and results that we have seen throughout the whole process for Jacquelyn has been a great experience! We are already seeing her confidence being boosted after a few weeks. Everyone was very invested in Anniston’s success. Anniston has researched topics and questions by herself on google a few times in the last couple weeks and that is something she would not have done previously. She spells and reads much better now. She is continuing to grow in her skills.
My son has dyslexia and was really struggling to read. He not only reads now but reads well and is devouring books! My son also struggles with memory issues among other things, and it’s been so fun to see his memory strengthened and his ability to tell us more things and share more details and even do more things on his own. Following a hospital stay for long Covid, I became aware that LearningRx was offering a program to help clients that had experienced this disease. The program was creative, and I actually enjoyed the cognitive challenge of each session as I advanced thru the skills . Following this program I feel that I am now much more productive than I use to be and it’s easier to adjust to changes in routines.
Daniel had difficulty learning material and was not getting the support he needed in the school system. After he trained his attention, memory, comprehension and more got better. He still is not at grade level but his ability to learn is improved. The center, director and trainer were always supportive of our needs. They worked very hard to help Daniel and showed a lot of patience.
The trainers really care about the students, and they push each student to reach the next goal. The training is very motivating, and it has helped my kids in levels of reading, motivation and confidence.

LearningRx has made a HUGE difference in my son’s ability to read and write, as well as his math and attention-based skills in general. He and I had already worked very hard for years using Logic of English, and made progress, but it wasn’t enough to keep him at grade level. He’s gone from a 4th-grade level to an 8th-grade level in 9 months… Additionally, he’s been doing his work with his trainer, so he’s been able to make good use of his extra time at home.
We reached out to LearningRX when our son was about to enter the fifth grade. There had been many struggles through traditional public school with reading and keeping up with math facts and focus in general…when we went to LearningRX they helped us understand that it was a processing skill that was needing to be relearned. We have been with LearningRX for several months now and have seen a lot of change in our son with confidence to face new things.
Now I can finally read and sound out words! I can now read because of Mrs. Donesa and the LearningRx program! Before LearningRx, I thought I was just dumb! Some kids made fun of me because I could not read our sound out words. I did not like myself very much. Now I do! I can now participate in classes at school and church and not be embarrassed or afraid to read out loud or give answers like the other students. I am finally making decent grades! Now my mom cries when I read to her because I can read!
LearningRx was such a blessing for our family and especially for our little boy. He originally went for an updated evaluation for school and then after meeting with the owner Michelle, we learned about their Lift Off program. Our trainer Mrs. Aimee and all the staff became like family to us. The joy every trainer has for their job is evident. This is amazing place! His confidence has soared as a learner and to us, nothing can replace that.
It was not a one size fits all program. The tested progress along the way, made necessary adjustment to ensure progress was happening. The director was always available if we needed anything, answered all our questions and make sure we were comfortable before we started, during the training and following graduation.
Both children continued to make huge gains in working memory, retention, auditory and visual processing, and more! Aside from the program itself, Michelle and the staff at LearningRx Chattanooga are incredible to work with. My children felt loved and supported through the program and the staff were always available to answer questions or provide tailored advice for our family. I can’t recommend LearningRx Chattanooga enough!
