My son started Learning RX when he was 18. He knew he wasn’t ready to start college as having dyslexia and other learning challenges made processing large amounts of information very taxing. ..Ashley was incredibly supportive and encouraging. She was able to individualize the program to meet his specific needs. When we brought our six year old son to Learning Rx he was in special ed for reading and math. He was spending more time in the principle’s office than in his classroom. He is now in regular class for both reading and math. He has not gone to the principle’s office this school year. When asked why he liked Learning Rx he stated that it helped his brain think like all the other kids. We highly recommend this program. The cost and the time spent is well worth the return.
We initially tried a going to a learning/tutoring type center. But when the administer expressed doubts about my child’s ability to comprehend tasks directions and to work independently, I began searching for a program that would aid comprehension. This led to my internet search and in me finding LearningRx. It was a blessing and miracle, very early on, to see my child perform multi-step commands without additional prompts by me. Now, we have seen a true love of writing after practice with the Learning Rx trainer.
Individual attention, specific concepts discussed and addressed, identifiable progress. Willingness to take time to do hard tasks that don’t come easy, increased confidence in reading and writing.
Our son was barely reading in 4th grade and now he is reading confidently and enjoying it. He volunteers to read regularly and there has been a huge change in his attitude as well because he is confident in his reading! If you are on the fence just do it! It’s a lot but so worth it!

Life-Changing Experience at LearningRx Richmond Hill. The brain training exercises used at LearningRx are nothing like traditional tutoring — they are engaging, innovative, and truly transformative. Over time, we noticed that our child became more attentive in school, more willing to do his homework, and, most importantly, more confident in his abilities. When I first came to LearningRx I was not sure they could help me. I had not learned how to focus and I had real problems with math—all kinds. Then I began to see results of the training as did others around me. The most drastic results were noticed by my math tutor. She could not believe the focus and memory that I now had.
Lisa and the trainers here never gave up on my son even though he was difficult to work with. He is now doing much better in school when he puts forth effort. He is willing to try new things. My son is making better grades; he is doing well at school when he chooses to do his assignments. He is trying new things and doesn’t shut down as easily.

My son has Aspergers and was really hard for him to tell me what happen at school or tell me anything. In the second month I started to notice he was talking more, my sister noticed the same and even one teacher told me this boy is different he is talking way more. This is the main progress that I appreciate about this program, he gained more confidence too.

Learning RX has been very beneficial for my 11 year old. I can see improvements already (just about 3 months) with her memory, attention and focus. She is also building confidence as she progresses through the exercises and the various levels. With her learning challenges, she has always struggled with self-esteem. We have been extremely happy with LearningRx. After just three months of brain training we see great improvements in his willingness and ability to read, follow oral instructions, and not be as resistant to doing hard things. I was very pleased that my son was able to pay attention better this first term of school. The staff and director were always friendly and willing to share their experience for other things that could help carry over to school and home.
When [my daughter] started the program, she presented with low self-esteem, anxiety, difficulty in maintaining focus and an aversion towards reading. NO PROBLEM…They were able to target underlying cognitive skills and significantly improve them by focusing on her specific needs.
It was not a one size fits all program. The tested progress along the way, made necessary adjustment to ensure progress was happening. The director was always available if we needed anything, answered all our questions and make sure we were comfortable before we started, during the training and following graduation.
