My daughter has struggled with school since kindergarten. She ended up having ADHD and Dyslexia. I was and still am in awe, in 9 months my daughter has grown tremendously. I turned 68 and finished my training at RX Learning in Charlottesville a few weeks ago. Michelle, my trainer, made my experience enjoyable, beneficial and relevant. Some of the many benefits of the program for me include: improved ability to maintain focus for longer periods of time; improved ability to ignore distractions; improved long and short term memory; acquisition of problem solving skills that I use on a regular basis; and most importantly – knowing that I can tackle everyday life issues with confidence and flexibility.
The trainers are dedicated and really care about the kids. My son is more confident in his abilities. The trainers have helped him learn how to work hard even when the work is hard.

Our daughter was really struggling and we were concerned that she may not move to the next grade in school. Not only has LearningRx given her the mental exercises to improve, but it has given her the tools that she can utilize in learning at home and at school that will allow her to be successful in her future. LearningRx has been so awesome and such a blessing for me!…I had never really planned ahead well or been an organizer type of person, but I had done well in school. So we found LearningRx, and in addition to my already recognized struggles, their pre-assessment revealed other areas of weaknesses that needed to be addressed. My focus and concentration have gotten a lot better, and it is harder to be distracted, by myself or others. My working memory and ability to use logic to figure various daily scenarios out has also improved…I would highly recommend LearningRx to others!
We saw measurable results that would benefit others. He connected with Xander and did a great job of motivating and guiding him through the program. Even when Xander had tough times and struggled, he worked with him to keep going.
We found LearningRx when we were seeking help for our 10 year old son, Gabe. Every year at school, we were told that his reading is below grade level. This was exhibited at home with nightly struggles to complete homework, usually entailing two hours of arguing, tears and frustration to complete 15 minutes of homework. Almost immediately, Gabe was reading things at random out loud to us. When school started in the fall, he started doing his homework by himself, without the usual coaxing and arguing.
I already have recommended this program to everyone in earshot. My ability to engage my focus and actively switch between tasks is better than ever before. It is incredible how differently my brain is operating now.
The improvements my son experienced were undeniable and I think their program is very well done. My son was really struggling with auditory processing issues and he was spiraling at home and school. LearningRx Eden Prairie outperformed our expectations! I was honestly a bit skeptical about it at first but going in talking to Baird understanding how they approached things all made sense. Our teenage son completed the program and the transformation of his confidence, wittiness, memory, grades (when he applied himself) and overall ability to recognize situations was life changing.

This program made a huge difference in my son’s cognitive skills! In pre-assessment, he scored well below average in 7 out of 9 skills. By the end of the program, he scored average to well above average in 7 of the 10 skills, while still showing huge growth in the two lower scoring skills. I highly recommend this program if your child struggles at all in any area!
We have two children who are half way through the program and so far we are pleased with the results. The trainers have laid the foundation that will allow our children to excel in the second half of their programs. We can see their confidence growing and we look forward to them improving in all academic areas especially reading comprehension.

The reason why I could succeed was that I was on ADHD medication, but the medication made me extremely depressed and enraged all of the time. When I stopped taking it, I was filled with great joy because of my newfound freedom. But something was still wrong. Without the medication, I forgot the first part of the sentence by the end of the second part of the sentence. My imagination never turned off, and despite going to school an hour early and tutoring for an hour after school, I barely passed with Cs. Then I enrolled in LearningRx. Within three months, I was on fire. I could concentrate, handle awkward social situations, find motivation, put my creative ideas in paper. I attacked school with newfound strength. Last year I was the slowest kid in the class, but this year I am one of the fastest and smartest.
We had a great experience with LearningRx for both of our children. We saw growth in confidence and ability as well as an understanding of what it takes to achieve mental and academic goals.

Working with Dr. Jackson and the staff at LearningRx has helped me understand where my 13-year-old son has struggles. His pretest showed that his auditory processing was around 6 years of age. The post test showed a significant 10-year gain which has resulted in less frustration when given tasks to complete. His visual, logic-reasoning and processing speed increased. I know that Riley still needs work with his attention and focus. However, I have seen improvement in these areas that has helped his schoolwork. I’ve seen that he’s been a bit quicker to solve a problem and remember what he was doing. These are the biggest areas I’ve seen. Another plus has been that he’ll sit and focus for a longer period of time.

LearningRx in Raleigh, NC has been the best decision we have made for our daughter. Her reading and cognitive skills exceeded what the program provided, and she was able to increase her reading fluency from an age equivalency of 6.8 to age 9.6 in less than a year.
