We saw significant improvement in our daughter’s reading ability and fluency and know that it was from the work she did during her sessions at LearningRx. Our daughter started LearningRx being unable to read. She could sound out CVC words but was unable to blend the sounds together to say the word. She is now able to sound out many words, blend them together, and even read words without having to sound them out. She is able to read short stories. She used to dislike going to school as she would get frustrated with being unable to do the work. She now enjoys school and has a great attitude about going.
I really appreciated how LearningRx was one-on-one interactive, tailored to our needs, and progressed based on my child’s performance. On the recommendation of a friend, we turned to LearningRx Richmond Hill. Khai and Jeri conducted a thorough assessment and designed a personalized training plan tailored to my daughter’s needs. I think learningRX is a great investment in yourself. I’m in my late 20’s and I want to be more confident in my reading and writing as I enter into a corporate career. My trainer was very encouraging and continued to work with me on my goals to improve everyday. The staff at this center is great and you will be well taken care of. Marlyn was great with all the scheduling of extra meetings or general questions I had whenever I called.
We have noticed that homework is being done faster and even being started on his own. He has less negative talk and less time lost through behavioral issues at school as a result of not understanding the material. LearningRx’s program is absolutely amazing and has made such a HUGE impact on our daughters’ life. When our daughter started this program, at 6 years old, she could barely recognize/recall the alphabet or count past 10 and now, at 7 years old, she is able to read 4 letter words and do difficult addition math problems. My son was reluctant to sign up, but became more engaged once he started making progress. Further along in Learning RX, he became a self starter with his school work and could stay on task for longer periods of time with his improved focus, and ability to tackle more difficult material.
Our son is 12 years old and has dyslexia. He has a awful time concentrating and reading. This program is just what he needed. My son entered LearningRX as a very challenged reader. He had many of the skills he needed to read, but had a hard time putting those skills together. After working with a trainer at LearningRX for 20-weeks, his skills improved dramatically. His trainer, Will Atkinson, made the hard work of brain training fun for my 10-year old son. LearningRX accomplished what we had hoped it would and it was one of the best academic things we have ever done for our children.
