She had taken and excelled in college-level science and math courses in 8th grade, but struggled to remember and apply a lot of the basic math she had learned. Despite our initial skepticism about whether LearningRx could make a big difference for such a good student, after just a few months at LearningRx, her ability to retain and use mathematical knowledge really took off. We stumbled upon LearningRx, thinking it was worth a shot— after graduating under a year later, we can confidently say it helped our child make better connections and improved her working memory. The staff and director are like family to us; they nurtured and encouraged our daughter more than just academically; they absolutely instilled confidence and kept her motivated throughout her training. Highly, highly recommend for kids and adults with memory problems, ADHD, problems with executive function and disorganization, or just needing a boost in productivity and efficiency.
When you see the changes in your child from the beginning to the end, it is very rewarding. Our son was very reluctant at the beginning of training but started to show joy in sharing the activities he was working on. We have seen our son be able to sit for longer periods of time when completing tasks. His attention span has lengthened which has improved his work at school.
Since coming to LearningRx, our daughter has gained confidence and independence. While doing homework or practice worksheets, she used to fight to avoid the work and now eagerly sits down to work on things. Since LearningRx started with our daughter, we have gone from her being below national standards to now being on track. Carol, her LearningRx teacher has been amazing with our daughter – keeping her on-task and when our daughter is not focusing, she has immediately been able to redirect her and get her back on track.

Our 10-year-old son’s life is on a GREAT trajectory thanks to his brain being “re-wired” by the LearningRx program! I am a family nurse practitioner, and I can say their system is unlike any other. In the past, my son would be crying nearly every day after school due to the frustration of being behind and overwhelmed. Now, a year later, he’s a confident young man who enjoys school, loves to learn— and even enjoys taking tests!

The trainers, the environment, the philosophy all of it has been quite effective for my children and their growth with their learning challenges.
From the moment I contacted Maureen to the last day, communication was clear, prompt, and professional. Our concerns about Omar were addressed, and a clear plan of action was given to us. A huge bonus was that Omar actually looked forward to going to see his teacher Tully and later Katie. On several occasions, I’ve heard Omar telling his friends how LearningRx is the best kind of tutoring he’s had because it’s “actually fun.”

They gave my daughter coping skills for her ADHD, and improved her quality of life by showing her how to focus, listen, and learn. My daughter can focus in school, her grades improved, she listens well at home. She can get multiple instructions in a row and follow them all. She is more confident and handles overstimulating situations better.

He does seem to get his work done quicker and more independently – depending on the subject. He is also writing more notes in class. He is not complaining anymore about reading although he still struggles with answering questions about what he read. His frustration level has improved some as well as persevering.
Eventually, I started to enjoy coming in and started to see improvements myself. Throughout the program, I felt like my spelling got better and many other things. Most of the trainers were very nice. Although training was 1.5 hours long, it felt like it flew by because not only are the drills effective, but they are also fun and challenging. I’m very thankful for your time and help continuing my growth.
Improvements in working memory, confidence, and computing skills. I have seen improvements specifically at work with ability to memorize orders for a period of time. I am excited to see what impacts I see as I begin to take classes this coming semester.

Since starting the program, we have noticed that my son seems more confident in certain areas – in school his self-esteem, his ability to do tasks, and his attention at times seems to be more sustained, and his grades improved.
My son was struggling with his grades and overall understanding of what he was learning at school. We tried a few tutoring programs, but we knew immediately that just a rote learning wouldn’t make long lasting changes and it’s something we can do at home too. After the first assessment at LearningRx, we knew that was what we were looking for. Shortly after we started the program, we saw a big jump in his attitude towards learning. My daughter was really struggling to read. Letter recognition and phonetics were so hard for her to remember. She was also struggling to stay focused for an extended period of time as well. After attending LearningRx for the past few months, we have seen drastic changes. Not only does she now know her letters and sounds. She’s READING! This program has helped her confidence in school. She is able to do seat work with little to no guidance from her teacher.

This is an awesome program, my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia and LearningRx really helped her to improve in her reading and her self-esteem skyrocketed. Chloe’s behavior has gotten better in the classroom and her grades greatly improved. Donesa Walker and her staff are amazing. We are new to LearningRx. But we love it. Staff are friendly, easy to talk to and helpful. My son likes his coach Gina. She always has smile on her face and great communicator.

This program has changed the course of the way this child will learn for a lifetime. This is not a band aid program. It doesn’t just cover underlying problems with your learning capabilities. This is a lifelong tool to success. My daughter (8 yo) has ADHD and auditory processing working against her, and we saw the impact that it was having on her ability to focus, memorize, read and spell. Fast forward in time, 100 hours of LearningRx completed, (signing on for 40 more because we can’t get enough) and my child is reading at her grade level, she is excited about school, she is passing tests, her focus is better, her memory is better! I will always consider this the best gift I could give my daughter.
