We signed our daughter up for sessions at LearningRx while she was struggling with 7th grade Civics. The trainers were great, forming personal connections with her, which helped her be more open to the curriculum and sessions. LearningRx gave us regular progress updates, and they were very encouraging of her progress.
My daughter had an exceptional experience with LearningRx. Both my daughter’s teachers and we, her parents, observed a remarkable enhancement in her processing speed and memory. The struggle she previously encountered with retaining information swiftly has now become a thing of the past, a stark contrast from what we witnessed during her first-grade year.
When my son first started his cognitive training at LearningRx in February 2024, his speech and conversation reciprocity was very limited. Memory recall was an extreme challenge for him and his ability to reason and think things through were difficult tasks. Olivia, his trainer, is simply amazing! She was able to build a wonderful rapport with my son which is not easy given his challenges due to Autism. He has had many different therapists over the past 10 years, and no one has been able to reach him and teach him like Olivia has done.
My daughter made an incredible amount of growth in her skills while at LearningRx, but even more than that, her confidence is soaring. When we used to go to the library, Piper would come home empty handed. Yesterday she brought home a book with over 300 pages–her confidence is that high. I’m grateful for the gentle encouragement and tough, supportive love from her trainer, Mary, through the last half year.
Although I’m an adult, I greatly benefit from my training at LearningRx! After 6 months of training 3 days a week, I’m noticing I’m starting to calculate numbers in my head, which is huge since I was diagnosed with dyscalculia in my early 20’s! I’m even finding myself visualizing my next turn when driving, something I could never do before my training! LearningRx is helpful for all ages! I only wish I found them sooner!

Everyone was very invested in Anniston’s success. Anniston has researched topics and questions by herself on google a few times in the last couple weeks and that is something she would not have done previously. She spells and reads much better now. She is continuing to grow in her skills.

Great program! My son completed about 4 months of the program and made such a huge change! I wasn’t for sure until I saw the numbers go up! The program director Mrs Donesa was great and very accommodating! My son’s instructor was also great as well, they align the kids to who suits them best, which is great! I would highly recommend.
We have seen many improvements within Mackenzie in all categories. Not only has it helped her grades and academically but in everyday life. She is much more confident in herself, and this program has helped grow her brain, but she has also grown as a person.
After completing a 20-week program, we’ve seen great improvements in her abilities at school. She is better able to stay focused and deal with distractions, something that had previously been a challenge. Her confidence has soared and this boost in self-assurance has been evident in all areas of her academic and social life. Math, which once felt like a constant struggle, has become much easier for her. She now handles math facts with greater ease and working through her math homework no longer causes the same frustration.
My daughter has been doing brain training with Learning Rx for maybe a month and a half now, and to begin with, the assessment alone is a game-changer and gave us clarity regarding some issues we were having with my daughter’s homeschool performance. They gave my daughter coping skills for her ADHD, and improved her quality of life by showing her how to focus, listen, and learn. My daughter can focus in school, her grades improved, she listens well at home. She can get multiple instructions in a row and follow them all. She is more confident and handles overstimulating situations better.

My son’s reading scores have raised several levels since completing his brain training course. His main takeaway was he is a lot less reactive and impulsive in his behavior. This was my main reasoning for trying out this program. He slows down and thinks about things before reacting to things and that has been a HUGE win for us!

I recommend this program for parents who has a child with ADHD. This program helped my daughter to block out distractions, to really use her brain of figuring things out, and she completes her homework faster without being reminded to do her homework. The program is also great for adults.

What an amazing experience! Our child (8) with ADHD and likely dyslexia had difficulty picking up reading/spelling/language before this program. He is now on track for his age and grade for reading but his memory, focus, and brain stamina have all exponentially expanded. Would highly recommend.

He originally went for an updated evaluation for school and then after meeting with the owner Michelle, we learned about their Lift Off program. I turned 68 and finished my training at RX Learning in Charlottesville a few weeks ago. Michelle, my trainer, made my experience enjoyable, beneficial and relevant. Some of the many benefits of the program for me include: improved ability to maintain focus for longer periods of time; improved ability to ignore distractions; improved long and short term memory; acquisition of problem solving skills that I use on a regular basis; and most importantly – knowing that I can tackle everyday life issues with confidence and flexibility.

Tatum is so much more willing to try hard things, his reading has improved tremendously. We recently had a parent/teacher conference, and his teacher had such great things to say about him. He is being a leader in his classroom (which is new for him), he is working hard, and his math and reading skills are right where they should be.
We are new to LearningRx. But we love it. Staff are friendly, easy to talk to and helpful. My son likes his coach Gina. She always has smile on her face and great communicator.
I have been few places more encouraging, welcoming, or accepting than our local LearningRX. Far more important than growth in his cognitive abilities — and there was a lot of growth! — we valued the constant emphasis of success being tied to cheerful effort. That made it possible for our son to move beyond his emotions and debilitating perfectionism and allowed him to Keep Trying until he had mastered a difficult task. He also learned that he’s valued for WHO he is, not WHAT he can do.
Our son LOVES going to LRX. He said learning has become easier. We are so glad for him and proud of how hard he works although LRX makes it so fun!

My daughter was diagnosed with ADD…Fortunately, I did not wait too long after this diagnosis to bring her to Rx. Her struggles consisted of: difficulty reading, spelling, processing information as well as the inability to retain it (short term and long term memory.) What used to be 20 min. Intervals of school work at a time has become day-long endurance…Not only is her reading off the charts, but her comprehension was a benefit that I didn’t expect. We are just a month or so in to my boys training, and I have already seen significant improvement. We chose to do the home training a couple hours a week, which I wasn’t sure was going to be doable. Although some weeks are more of a challenge than others, we have been able to accomplish it every week so far. I prayed for weeks for the Lord to show me what I needed to do for my boys, and He led me to Learning RX in an overwhelming way.
It has changed the way we interact with our children. From homeschooling, to discipline, it’s made a difference in how we work together as a family. I highly recommend! Each one of our kids have grown in effective communication and discipline.

Our son is 8 years old and has struggled since 3 years old to focus. Starting to learn to read and figuring out letters has been very difficult…Mel is motivating to him and continues to push him to his potential. In the first month the change we saw in our son’s focus was jaw dropping!..Within 3 months of beginning the program our son has started to read full homework page assignments and complete them on his own! Learning RX was a great way to bring some excitement out in our daughter when it comes to learning!
