We saw significant improvement in our daughter’s reading ability and fluency and know that it was from the work she did during her sessions at LearningRx. Our daughter started LearningRx being unable to read. She could sound out CVC words but was unable to blend the sounds together to say the word. She is now able to sound out many words, blend them together, and even read words without having to sound them out. She is able to read short stories. She used to dislike going to school as she would get frustrated with being unable to do the work. She now enjoys school and has a great attitude about going.
When your child is diagnosed with dyslexia, it’s easy to worry. The good news is that many children with dyslexia thrive at school and later in life! With the right kind of training, children with dyslexia have built stronger reading skills and overcome learning difficulties after completing a LearningRx program. Even adults with dyslexia have strengthened their reading skills!
While auditory processing is the most common root cause of dyslexia, it isn’t the only cause of reading difficulties. For example, reading difficulties may be tied to other cognitive skills, like visual processing.
At LearningRx, brain training plans are tailored to each child’s individual needs. For kids and teens with reading struggles, we focus on the root cause of these difficulties.
