I know that Riley still needs work with his attention and focus. However, I have seen improvement in these areas that has helped his schoolwork. I’ve seen that he’s been a bit quicker to solve a problem and remember what he was doing. These are the biggest areas I’ve seen. Another plus has been that he’ll sit and focus for a longer period of time.

We came in looking for additional help, especially in reading, for our son who is so bright but was struggling with his schoolwork. The assessment affirmed what we thought as far as some cognitive skills which needed strengthening. I homeschool so I’ve been able to give him tons of one-on-one tutoring, but the improvement has been so slow. She had taken and excelled in college-level science and math courses in 8th grade, but struggled to remember and apply a lot of the basic math she had learned. After he completed the program the first year, his reading significantly improved along with his word attack. He loves to read and this really helped his confidence. I would highly recommend this program for anyone struggling with reading comprehension and math skills, especially if you tried traditional tutoring. This is not a tutoring program, it is building a foundation on how to process skills in order to perform well in all areas of life including school. We saw significant improvement in our daughter’s reading ability and fluency and know that it was from the work she did during her sessions at LearningRx. Our daughter started LearningRx being unable to read. She could sound out CVC words but was unable to blend the sounds together to say the word. She is now able to sound out many words, blend them together, and even read words without having to sound them out. She is able to read short stories. She used to dislike going to school as she would get frustrated with being unable to do the work. She now enjoys school and has a great attitude about going.

He is reading chapter books and is testing in 80th percentile for math and reading. He is no longer in any interventions support in school. My son used to not be able to multitask. Now he can listen to music while working and listen to our conversation in the next room all at the same time. My son used to not be able to remember a two-step direction. Now he can be doing a task and be interrupted and come back to that task, not only remembering exactly what he was doing but also his mood is stable and not frustrated.
Hearing the news that your daughter has dyslexia is quite frightening. As a parent all you see is your bright, beautiful, and perfect little girl. Your first thought is fear, but then you want to help. Reaching out to LearningRx was the best academic decision we could have ever made for her. The changes my husband and I have seen in our daughter are so life changing for her. She is ready for kindergarten and ready for the rest of her life. LearningRx gave me confidence and essential processing skills I needed for the future. I saw that when I worked at it, I could pass any level given to me, even if it seemed difficult at first. At school I began to finish tests more quickly and some homework assignments that I had were done faster than I thought they would take. Now that I have trained at LearningRx, I truly feel happier because of the amazing strides I have made from going though the program.
I saw improvement with my child’s ability to remember simple tasks without assistance. I noticed that he would strive to continue working on something even if it became difficult. The trainers were all very patient with him and understood his ability.
It was not a one size fits all program. The tested progress along the way, made necessary adjustment to ensure progress was happening. The director was always available if we needed anything, answered all our questions and make sure we were comfortable before we started, during the training and following graduation.
LearningRx has helped our son focus better, pick up on things faster and has given him more confidence in himself and at school. Nicole was Tristin’s trainer, and she was amazing and Mike was super great as well. Always very friendly and responsive!
Micah’s ability to learn without ‘freezing’ is the biggest improvement. Micah’s abilities to spell, write, read, follow instruction have all drastically improved. Micah’s confidence has improved. His excitement of learning has skyrocketed.
My three homeschooled sons are dyslexic and have received services at LearningRx Dublin via the Jon Peterson Scholarship. LearningRx Eden Prairie outperformed our expectations! I was honestly a bit skeptical about it at first but going in talking to Baird understanding how they approached things all made sense. Our teenage son completed the program and the transformation of his confidence, wittiness, memory, grades (when he applied himself) and overall ability to recognize situations was life changing.
I was one overwhelmed parent after being told my daughter was suspected as having dyslexia by her school, which followed up with “we won’t be able to get her where she needs to be in reading”, essentially.
