The Gibson Institute of Cognitive Research

Gibson Institute of Cognitive Research is a nonprofit organization founded by cognitive training pioneer and LearningRx founder, Dr. Ken Gibson in 2014. The Institute conducts research on cognitive rehabilitation training and cognition assessments to inform intervention and assessment practices in the fields of psychology, education, neuroscience, and cognitive science. The Institute is taking cognition research to a new level for ADHD, learning disabilities, dyslexia and reading disorders, autism spectrum disorders, concussion and traumatic brain injury, and age-related cognitive decline. 

The Gibson institute conducts empirical research on cognitive training programs and cognitive assessments, with a goal of improving scientific understanding around brain training and enhancing best practices by brain training providers.

CHADD

Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) was founded in 1987 in response to the frustration and sense of isolation experienced by parents and their children with ADHD. CHADD empowers people affected by ADHD by:

  • providing evidence-based information;
  • supporting individuals, their families, and professionals who assist them throughout their journeys; and
  • advocating for equity, inclusion, and universal rights.

ADDitude Magazine

ADDitude magazine is a quarterly publication for individuals and families living with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and related conditions. It provides expert-reviewed articles, strategies, and support on topics like diagnosis, treatment, parenting, and living with ADHD in children and adults. 

In addition to the print magazine, offers a website with expert, a community forum, and free resources, as well as weekly webinars and podcasts.

IBCCES

IBCCES- International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards

IBCCES provides a series of certifications focused on autism, neurodiversity, and cognitive differences. The goal of the programs is to help attractions and entertainment organizations better understand and assist individuals that are neurodivergent or on the spectrum. IBCCES is the only credentialing board offering these programs which include training from subject matter experts and autistic self-advocates, as well as long-term support and continuous learning, onsite reviews, and more.

Military Homeschool Organization

The main military homeschool organization is the Military Homeschoolers Association (MHA), which provides resources, advocacy, and community for military families who homeschool. MHA connects families with educational resources, facilitates networking events, and partners with other organizations to support military homeschoolers facing the unique challenges of military life, such as frequent moves and deployments.
