Winners of the 2022 LearningRx Presidents’ Day Memorization Contest

We are excited to announce the winners of the LearningRx Presidents’ Day Memorization Contest! For this contest, we asked LearningRx students, past students, or anyone who knows all 46 presidents to recite all presidents from memory while simultaneously doing something on video.

LearningRx Presidents' Day Memorization Contest 2022

In the past years, we have had people submit videos reciting the presidents while jumping on a trampoline, playing guitar, and so on. This year was no different, and we had submissions from across the country ranging in ages and activities. The team at LearningRx Headquarters based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, including executive members such as CEO Kim Hanson and COO Dean Tenpas, had a final vote to determine first, second, and third place winners.

Here are the winners of the LearningRx Presidents’ Day Memorization Contest!

Now announcing the first place winner: Megyn K.

She recited all presidents from memory while flipping and twisting on acrobatic silk!

“She feels surprised, excited, and really really happy! She had the best reaction when I told her!” says her mother, Tiffany, “Meg spent a lot of time working on her presidents. Getting them in order going forward wasn’t as time-consuming as getting them going backward. Then she decided she wanted to go for the “Presidential Club” and worked and worked on getting them forward and backward in under one minute. She was determined and wouldn’t give up until she accomplished it. When she decided to take your challenge while doing something. She naturally chose silk because she loves spending time on it and had fun creating a routine. It took her several days of practice to get it just right.”

Megyn is quite the performing artist and is also currently participating in a musical, and once it’s complete, she wants to continue learning more about silk and take classes.

We are excited to announce the second place winner is Micah R.

He recited every president in order while drawing an impressive racecar.

“Micah is really excited about winning!” says Christy, Micah’s mom, “This project wasn’t incredibly hard because the presidents were still fresh in his mind from working on them several months ago. But he practiced many times to say them correctly and work on his timing and concentration while drawing. It certainly took thought and effort for him to complete the project.”

Micah currently doesn’t have any plans regarding drawing or race car driving when he grows up, but he loves to draw and loves cars, so combing the two avenues for this contest was natural to him. Did you notice that the racecar number is 46? Micah thought that would be a neat addition to his drawing since there are 46 presidents. How clever!

We are excited to announce the third place: Evan H.

He recited all presidents while juggling. His impressive skills and daring task made him one of our top three winners!

“He memorized the presidents over the course of about a month working with LearningRx twice a week,” says his mom, Ali, “The juggling he had recently learned from a friend and was excited to combine the two!”

Evan plans to continue to practice juggling to improve his skills.

The top winners received Amazon gift cards corresponding to their place, $100 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place.  We are excited to announce the winners of the LearningRx Presidents’ Day Memorization Contest and appreciate all the students who participated!
