Homework Help in Chattanooga

Homework is meant to be a little bit challenging. Otherwise, it wouldn’t help students learn! But it shouldn’t be frustrating or discouraging. At LearningRx, our programs are designed to build strong homework skills.

Our programs work by building the core learning and thinking skills students use for homework including memory, reasoning, and attention skills. At the same time, we help learners develop strong homework habits, including strategies for:

Reading, writing, and math skills
Organization and time management
Creative thinking
Goal setting

Learners develop these skills and strategies in one-on-one training sessions with a dedicated brain trainer.

Brain Training or Tutoring for Homework Help?

Homework tutoring is one of the most popular ways to find homework help for students. Yet for many kids and teens, tutoring offers limited results.

This is because tutoring mirrors the way students learn in class. When students are having trouble paying attention or understanding lessons at school, they will probably have the same issues with a homework tutor.

Brain training offers a way to strengthen learning, thinking, and attention skills. Our unique approach to building homework skills focuses on the root cause of why some students have more trouble with homework or get frustrated with certain types of assignments. Through brain training, students work on the skills they need to be more confident and independent learners.

LearningRx has been amazing for my 1st Grader! I have watched him gain confidence in learning subjects that were challenging to him and have also seen an increase in his academic test scores since his training began in Chattanooga. Everyone has been amazing to work with, and so welcoming and kind. Excited to see my son’s future progress. Thank you LearningRx – Chattanooga!

Cate (Chattanooga, TN)

This is a wonderful program with excellent trainers who are knowledgeable and supportive in helping each child reach his/her goals. Our daughter has improved in all areas of comprehension, retention and overall self-confidence as a result of completing this program.

Ayana (Chattanooga East, TN)

It’s great working with LearningRx. Max started seeing improvement after the second week of session. I would definitely recommend LearningRx!

Kim (Chattanooga, TN)

My daughter struggled with math, reading, spelling, and memorization. After her training at Learning Rx, all of those skills have improved, and she has great self-confidence! This program has changed her entire future!

Heather (Chattanooga East, TN)

LearningRx was a game changer for my son. He improved in so many areas of his life.

Kevin (Chattanooga, TN)

We are just a month or so in to my boys training, and I have already seen significant improvement. We chose to do the home training a couple hours a week, which I wasn’t sure was going to be doable. Although some weeks are more of a challenge than others, we have been able to accomplish it every week so far. I prayed for weeks for the Lord to show me what I needed to do for my boys, and He led me to Learning RX in an overwhelming way.

Kelli (Chattanooga East, TN)

Our experience with LearningRx has been wonderful. Our adult son (24) suffers from executive disorder along with other things. He started working with Carl and has not only gotten to a place that he is excited about going to his appointments but also excited about his future and what he can do next. Thanks Michelle for your leadership!

LaTricia (Chattanooga East, TN)

Awesome experience! Our daughter was struggling in school and her school scores had lowered throughout the year. We started researching and found LearningRX. We noticed a huge difference after three months and now she is above her grade level and loves reading!

Brandon Chattanooga East, TN)

Our son LOVES going to LRX. He said learning has become easier. We are so glad for him and proud of how hard he works although LRX makes it so fun!

Melynda (Chattanooga, TN)

I have loved being enrolled in LearningRx! My daughter has grown leaps and bounds in many different abilities. I am so thankful for our time here and will recommend any family to participate!

Katie (Chattanooga East, TN)

I highly recommend Learning Rx. My daughter has just completed the program and has made significant gains across the board. As a result of this, my daughter is completing her work in class and is retaining the information that she has read. The entire staff has been welcoming and encouraging to her. The biggest part is that this homebody has now become a social butterfly. I feel so confident that she will succeed as she goes off to college thanks to the skills she has gained as part of our training.

Kathy (Chattanooga East, TN)

Wonderful staff! Friendly and safe environment. My son has grown so much over the past year being with Learning RX.

Aaron (Chattanooga, TN)

Learning Rx is amazing and helped my daughter tremendously with her confidence and study skills. I highly recommend!

Beth (Chattanooga, TN)

My daughter made an incredible amount of growth in her skills while at LearningRx, but even more than that, her confidence is soaring. When we used to go to the library, Piper would come home empty handed. Yesterday she brought home a book with over 300 pages–her confidence is that high. I’m grateful for the gentle encouragement and tough, supportive love from her trainer, Mary, through the last half year.

Jeni (Chattanooga East, TN)

This experience has been beyond my expectations. The relationship my son had with his brain trainer and how she gave space for him to be himself was the best part for me. I loved the lived experience of watching him become a stronger version of himself!

Jennifer (Chattanooga East, TN)

I have been few places more encouraging, welcoming, or accepting than our local LearningRX. Far more important than growth in his cognitive abilities — and there was a lot of growth! — we valued the constant emphasis of success being tied to cheerful effort. That made it possible for our son to move beyond his emotions and debilitating perfectionism and allowed him to Keep Trying until he had mastered a difficult task. He also learned that he’s valued for WHO he is, not WHAT he can do.

Ellen (Chattanooga East, TN)

Learning Rx Chattanooga took my child from struggling to soaring. He has gained more confidence in himself than I could have ever imagined.

Shannon (Chattanooga East, TN)

My child is more confident in his ability to succeed. He is more willing to try new things. He has a better sense of self control, and he has made significant improvements on every report card. He has learned that working hard is more important than perfection!

Durelle (Chattanooga, TN)

Michelle and staff have taken a great interest in both of our children. They worked with our hectic schedules to get our son through the program and are now beginning the process all over again with our youngest. We are excited to be working with them again!!!

Holt Family (Chattanooga East, TN)

I cannot say enough positive things about the impact that LearningRx has had on my children. We saw measurable improvements over the course of the training in not only his reading and comprehension but also in his confidence at school and with peers. So when my second child began displaying similar struggles, he completed the program and made huge progress as well. What was truly amazing was taking the 1 year post graduation test to see how both children continued to make huge gains in working memory, retention, auditory and visual processing, and more! I can’t recommend Chattanooga LearningRx enough!

Jordan (Chattanooga East, TN)

LearningRx was such a blessing for our family and especially for our little boy. He originally went for an updated evaluation for school and then after meeting with the owner Michelle, we learned about their Lift Off program. Our trainer Mrs. Aimee and all the staff became like family to us. The joy every trainer has for their job is evident. This is amazing place! His confidence has soared as a learner and to us, nothing can replace that.

Amy (Chattanooga, TN)

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Mrs. Michelle Davis & the staff are SO wonderful in accommodating my Autism… They are above and beyond amazing! This review cannot even describe how much I adore them! Hats off with many hearts to send to this organization.

James (Chattanooga, TN)

We have been extremely happy with LearningRx. After just three months of brain training we see great improvements in his willingness and ability to read, follow oral instructions, and not be as resistant to doing hard things. The best part is when he tells me that HE feels a difference in his own brain. This is a win in my book! It’s a huge commitment to do home training, but, the support from LearningRx is always there. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the employees, trainer, front desk and manager.

Alexis (Chattanooga East, TN)

When [my daughter] started the program, she presented with low self-esteem, anxiety, difficulty in maintaining focus and an aversion towards reading. I am happy to report that in 7 short months, [she] has turned all of this around. She is beaming with confidence…She is showing great strides in responsibilities not only in school work, but at home as well. Reading…. NO PROBLEM…They were able to target underlying cognitive skills and significantly improve them by focusing on her specific needs.

Courtney (Chattanooga, TN)

We love the experience we have had there so far. My son who has severe dyslexia has made significant improvement in just 3 months!

Kristy (Chattanooga East, TN)

Our daughter has ADHD and on meds that were helpful but she kept running into the same roadblocks academically: poor organization, not completing tasks, avoiding work…So I searched for help and found Learning RX. The training was slow going but improved steadily and I was noticing an improvement in her grades and her confidence. One year later she only made 1 C and is setting goals for her grades. She has far surpassed our expectations with training and we feel it is directly due to the training at Learning RX.

Issabel (Chattanooga East, TN)

My boys are about 3 months into their training and they are both starting to notice improvements. They both notice that it is easier to read and focus/understand what they are reading. One of my boys plays sports and he has even noticed a difference while playing. He has noticed he is able to focus on multiple aspects of the game which is something he has always struggled with. I’m excited to see the differences they notice when they go back to school.

Kelli (Chattanooga East, TN)

The staff is wonderful! I was having trouble with memory and retention and now I am confident (without having to always double check myself).

Ashley (Chattanooga East, TN)

Our son was struggling in school from the time he started Kindergarten. By 3rd grade our son was so frustrated and in tears over homework that I started to seek more answers…Then I found Learning RX. When we started this program he was on a Kindergarten to first-grade level at the age of eight. After ten months of training you can see the growth and confidence that he now has when completing his work and reading. He has increased his scores by 2 to 3 grade levels. This program has been huge for our son and I would recommend it to any parent that has a child struggling in school.

Jenny (Chattanooga East, TN)

Both children continued to make huge gains in working memory, retention, auditory and visual processing, and more! Aside from the program itself, Michelle and the staff at LearningRx Chattanooga are incredible to work with. My children felt loved and supported through the program and the staff were always available to answer questions or provide tailored advice for our family. I can’t recommend LearningRx Chattanooga enough!

Jordan (Chattanooga, TN)

My daughter recently completed their program and we couldn’t be happier with the results! She was struggling so badly despite being medicated for her ADHD. We tested and started the program in the early November and noticed results as soon as she was back in school. Her improvements continued as her standardized testing scores went up and most importantly her confidence and believing she could accomplish things on her own! Would do the program again in a heartbeat, the financial and time commitments are a small price to pay for something that can help my child for the rest of their life!

Jennifer (Chattanooga East, TN)

My daughter has been doing brain training with Learning Rx for maybe a month and a half now, and to begin with, the assessment alone is a game-changer and gave us clarity regarding some issues we were having with my daughter’s homeschool performance. I have already seen improvement in her reading and comprehension and in her willingness to put forth effort in new tasks. We can’t wait to see what all our amazing girl is capable of at the end of the program.

Dana (Chattanooga East, TN)

Very Impressed with the program, it has helped my son tremendously Better focus, attentive and better mood

April (Chattanooga East, TN)

I would highly recommend LearningRx Chattanooga. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The results that we received from brain training were outstanding. Wish we had done it sooner!

Crystal (Chattanooga, TN)

I am so grateful for the training I have received at Learning RX. I wish I would have known about this years ago.

Shelby (Chattanooga East, TN)

Bonnie literally went from barely reading, total meltdown when she was asked to read to now reading above grade level and picking up books for fun even. Training has also improved her attention and focus more than we thought possible. We have even been able to taper off her ADHD meds. Total transformation!

Skip (Chattanooga, TN)

I worked remotely with Kim! She is amazing! This program helped me regain working memory skills, processing speed, & more after a traumatic brain injury! I HIGHLY recommend!!!

Emily (Chattanooga East, TN)

We had a wonderful experience at LearningRx! Our 16-year-old son had recently received an ADHD diagnosis and LearningRx was recommended to us. He had issues with processing speed and executive functioning. The individual attention and guidance given to him was invaluable at helping him develop into his “true” self! Thank you for everything, LearningRx!

Tracey (Chattanooga, TN)

Our son is 12 years old and has dyslexia. He has a awful time concentrating and reading. This program is just what he needed. Seeing him work through that and seeing this awesome brain training helping him through his learning difficulties is a answered prayer. He loves going and is finally excited about learning!

Erica (Chattanooga East, TN)

Friendly environment, staff is always available to assist in any area. Well worth the investment. I highly recommend this for any one struggling to retain information.

Angela (Chattanooga East, TN)

Excellent training by very caring and encouraging teachers! They always made me feel good about myself and taught me skills that I could apply in my everyday life. I feel much more confident and want to continue training to sharpen my skills and stay on top of things! Thank you Learning RX and, a special thanks to Mary, I will miss you! I will always remember your words of wisdom!

Jeanie (Chattanooga East, TN)

Very thankful for LearningRx and the help it has provided our child. Seeing her gain confidence and ability is priceless. Michelle, Jennifer, Jordan, and the rest of the team are the best of the best. Your kindness and professionalism are simply the cherry on top

Kellen (Chattanooga, TN)

I was one overwhelmed parent after being told my daughter was suspected as having dyslexia by her school, which followed up with “we won’t be able to get her where she needs to be in reading”, essentially. I had seen the LearningRx sign before, so that was my first call. I had a lot of questions! The front desk (Jordan) was so very helpful at giving me as much information as she could before meeting us. We have now finished our brain training plan and are so happy with the results!

CH (Chattanooga, TN)

Our experience at Learning RX was Great! The staff were very knowledgeable and supportive. So glad we signed up for the program. [Our son] made a huge amount of improvement.

K.S. (Chattanooga, TN)

I’m starting training myself (with my 12-year-old son and father) to see if the virtual version holds up—a trial is available. If you want real-world listening and thinking skills built with grit, nuance, and scientific grounding, this program is worth your time and money. It’s a game-changer.

Rae (Chattanooga, TN)

All learning areas improved with the program. They took a smart kid and helped her become a confident and successful student. She’s more efficient and prepared to begin each task.

Honor (Chattanooga East, TN)

My family and I are so pleased with the amazing training they have provided for our child. His reading skills have improved in speed and fluency. This training has enriched the life our son in all areas. He has a wonderful teacher, and looks forward to his training with her!

Robert (Chattanooga East, TN)

His ability to listen and follow through the first time has improved. He doesn’t need to study as long for tests and quizzes. His focus is better. His reading and comprehension have improved.

Julie (Chattanooga, TN)

When we brought our six year old son to Learning Rx he was in special ed for reading and math. He was spending more time in the principle’s office than in his classroom. He is now in regular class for both reading and math. He has not gone to the principle’s office this school year. When asked why he liked Learning Rx he stated that it helped his brain think like all the other kids. We highly recommend this program. The cost and the time spent is well worth the return.

Steve (Chattanooga East, TN)

We have been thrilled with the progress our son has made! The center has a positive and inviting atmosphere, and he and his trainer have made incredible improvements!

Shannon (Chattanooga East, TN)

You or your child may or may not achieve the same results as past LearningRx clients. But give us a call. We’d love to work with you, too!
