My daughter shows a dramatic improvement in reading comprehension, memory, concentration, and confidence. She takes initiative to read for fun now. Her memory is also significantly improved. My son is doing so much better in school, he can focus on what needs to be done. Homework and projects would take HOURS for him to finish. Not anymore. He’s able to use time at school more effectively, which helps reduce the amount of homework he has. His focus, verbal comprehension, and auditory processing have improved so much and that was my main expectation of LearningRx.
My son has been coming to LearningRx for a few months and when he started, he was reading 1.5 AR books now he is reading 3.7 AR books. I can’t thank the teacher and program director enough for all the help with my son. We are super happy can’t wait for him to finish his program.

He is reading chapter books and is testing in 80th percentile for math and reading. He is no longer in any interventions support in school. He is now so confident in all areas and I know there is no way we as parents could have gotten him here alone. LearningRx in Raleigh, NC has been the best decision we have made for our daughter. Working with Dr. Jackson and the staff at LearningRx has helped me understand where my 13-year-old son has struggles. His pretest showed that his auditory processing was around 6 years of age. The post test showed a significant 10-year gain which has resulted in less frustration when given tasks to complete. His visual, logic-reasoning and processing speed increased. My son has Aspergers and was really hard for him to tell me what happen at school or tell me anything. In the second month I started to notice he was talking more, my sister noticed the same and even one teacher told me this boy is different he is talking way more. My daughter has more fluency and confidence now when she reads, but most of all, she is reading! She totes several books in her bookbag to and from school to read during down-time at school and at home. Reading is no longer seen as a chore and there is no longer the same struggle we had before starting this program.
Molly did a great job as well. She helped explain the results, being thorough and clear with the plan. She was very good with Embry making sure to challenge her and encourage her.
In just a few months, noticeable improvements emerged—enhanced focus and attention, making it easier for him to grasp new concepts. Having successfully completed the program, his confidence has soared, and he now navigates school effortlessly. Math tests no longer evoke apprehension, and he has evolved into a more independent and efficient learner.
From the moment I contacted Maureen to the last day, communication was clear, prompt, and professional. Our concerns about Omar were addressed, and a clear plan of action was given to us. A huge bonus was that Omar actually looked forward to going to see his teacher Tully and later Katie. On several occasions, I’ve heard Omar telling his friends how LearningRx is the best kind of tutoring he’s had because it’s “actually fun.”
Our son can focus more, and his writing in school has greatly improved from when he started. Now he writes stories with complex ideas, and it blows me away.
We have noticed that homework is being done faster and even being started on his own. He has less negative talk and less time lost through behavioral issues at school as a result of not understanding the material. He has confidence for the first time in his life and truly believes he can do things that are hard and trusts himself.
