Food allergies and ADHD linked

ADDitude magazine reported on a study from 2018 that found that children with food allergies may be more likely to display symptoms of ADHD (or oppositional defiant disorder). The researchers focused on children between 6 and 16 and found that although only 16% of the kids had a food allergy, 38% had ADHD (and 50% had ODD). It was a small study, but it appears to support previous research that indicates there is a link between emotional/behavioral problems and allergies in children. Read for yourself:
