At LearningRx Chattanooga, we believe every brain is capable of remarkable change. Whether a child struggles with reading, attention, memory, or confidence—or simply wants to unlock greater potential—we’re here to help. Through one-on-one brain training based on the science of neuroplasticity, we target the root cause of learning challenges: cognitive skills. Backed by over 35 years of research and development, our clients average a 3.6-year improvement in cognitive skills after just six months of training.
Our local story begins with Michelle Hecker Davis, who became Chattanooga’s first Certified Cognitive Skills Trainer in 2010. With a degree in Business and Accounting from Lee University, Michelle quickly rose to become Director of Training, then Center Director for 10 years before becoming owner in 2022. Today, she operates Chattanooga Brain Train LLC, and is a Board Certified Cognitive Specialist. In 2023, she was honored as LearningRx Franchisee of the Year, and the Chattanooga center has received accolades for top customer service for the past 11 years. The Chattanooga center has also been named a top 10 center within the entire LearningRx system nationally for the past 6 years, receiving a Community Impact award each year, 2020-2025.
We’ve trained brains across several states for over 15 years, helping thousands of students and adults—many neurodiverse or with special needs—gain clarity, confidence, and real results. What sets us apart is our heart. We see every student as more than a test score. Every 3–6 weeks, we meet with families to review progress, support growth, and—if needed—refer to resources that better serve the child. Our guiding core values of Helpfulness, Integrity, Responsibility, Excellence, and Passion ensure every client is treated with care and respect.
Michelle is deeply involved in the Chattanooga community. She serves on the board of the Chattanooga Area Brain Injury Association and the International Association of Cognitive Training, and has contributed to initiatives such as the Leadership Chattanooga Curriculum Committee and Tennesseans for Quality Early Education. Our team volunteers with organizations including the Speech and Hearing Center, Chattanooga Autism Center, Austin Hatcher Foundation, and Hamilton County Schools. We proudly host free community programs, offer reading events, and maintain a Free Little Library at our center near Hamilton Place Mall. We credit so much of our success to our amazing brain training team and the Director of Trainers, Gerri Holstine who has been with LearningRx alongside Michelle for over 15 years now. Our community and relationship to Chattanooga’s homeschooling families have been amazing.
Our mission is simple: Transforming lives to learn and perform better, faster, and easier. Our vision is to be the most loved, most trusted, and most effective brain training program in the Southeast.
