We began in the last month of a school year, with my 12 year old, flighty, eccentric little girl. On the side over the summer, this kid who always wanted to read along with audio books started reading chapter books for fun. I was encouraged. Then school started. We just finished our first week, and I noticed HUGE gains in her work. She focuses even on “boring” textbook reading really well, and her retention and comprehension is fantastic. I know she’s going to be able to make up for lost time on reading, writing, and math. I even noticed handwriting improvement!
Finding help with autism shouldn’t be a challenge. LearningRx makes it easy to get started with brain training. By customizing our training plans, we embrace the neurodiversity that characterizes autism. More importantly, this approach allows us to tailor training to each learner’s individual needs.
While brain training isn’t a treatment for autism, it has helped individuals with autism improve core cognitive skills. These include skills used for:
- Reading & writing
- Math
- Focus & concentration
- Memorization & mental processing
