Brain Training in Tysons

When you or your learner has been diagnosed with dyslexia, it’s hard not to worry. But many learners with dyslexia or other reading disorders thrive in school, at work, and in life. At LearningRx Tysons, we offer dedicated Brain Training for all ages. Through one-on-one training, we help students become more confident readers, learners, and thinkers!

We understand the unique challenges that come with dyslexia and other reading disorders. Our reading programs are rooted in decades of research and practice in literacy, learning disorders, and cognitive development. Each program is customized for each learner, with a one-on-one, focused approach that helps students succeed on their terms.

Dyslexia is a common reading disorder — approximately 1 in every 10 students at LearningRx come to us for Brain Training. LearningRx has helped thousands of students deal with reading challenges. After completing a LearningRx program, those with dyslexia have reported significant improvements in key reading and learning skills

Brain Training for Learners with Dyslexia & Reading Disorders

Individual Training Plans for Reading Difficulties

Reading isn’t just one skill — it draws on many overlapping skills, like decoding letter combinations, recognizing vocabulary, processing complex phrases, and maintaining focus. When learners struggle to read, they’re not just dealing with one challenging skill, but many different ones.

Our programs are never intended as a cure for dyslexia. Instead, with our help, students can practice and enhance the multiple underlying skills needed for effective reading and learning.

Brain training uses focused games, exercises, and drills to improve mental performance and aptitudes. Each program is calibrated with a specific learner in mind, so students can work towards targeted outcomes. As learners progress through their sessions, they can also strengthen their cognitive processes.

Help with Reading Skills & Reading Disorders

With LearningRx Tysons, students can improve their reading abilities through two distinct programs:

  • Fundamental reading skills. With ReadRx®, learners can practice letter and phoneme recognition, decoding unfamiliar words by letter combinations, improving spelling, and other auditory processing skills.
  • Reading comprehension skills. With ComprehendRx®, students can build on visualizing concepts and images, processing intricate sentences, and retaining important information.

Each program is customized to a reader’s age, abilities, and existing skills, so kids, teens, and adults can all find benefits with our reading programs.
