Homework Help in Shoreview

Homework is meant to be a little bit challenging. Otherwise, it wouldn’t help students learn! But it shouldn’t be frustrating or discouraging. At LearningRx, our programs are designed to build strong homework skills.

Our programs work by building the core learning and thinking skills students use for homework including memory, reasoning, and attention skills. At the same time, we help learners develop strong homework habits, including strategies for:

Reading, writing, and math skills
Organization and time management
Creative thinking
Goal setting

Learners develop these skills and strategies in one-on-one training sessions with a dedicated brain trainer.

Brain Training or Tutoring for Homework Help?

Homework tutoring is one of the most popular ways to find homework help for students. Yet for many kids and teens, tutoring offers limited results.

This is because tutoring mirrors the way students learn in class. When students are having trouble paying attention or understanding lessons at school, they will probably have the same issues with a homework tutor.

Brain training offers a way to strengthen learning, thinking, and attention skills. Our unique approach to building homework skills focuses on the root cause of why some students have more trouble with homework or get frustrated with certain types of assignments. Through brain training, students work on the skills they need to be more confident and independent learners.

LearningRx is a great place to train the brain skills of your kids and yourself. The learning skills, the self-esteem and self-confidence building is great. From our first conversations with LearningRx staff, the assessment process, starting our training schedule to now where we have established a routine, we have felt well informed and cared for by the staff. We receive frequent progress check ins and can observe training sessions anytime we like. The LearningRx staff do a great job with the range of diverse learners and seem to find ways to keep them all engaged. We would definitely recommend the Shoreview location to any family who does not know where to turn next to support their child’s educational roadblocks.

My daughter is still loving Learning Rx! We are seeing some great results! My daughter’s processing speed is increasing. She is developing better conversation skills. She is becoming more confident. This is totally worth money!

LearningRx’s program is absolutely amazing and has made such a HUGE impact on our daughters’ life. When our daughter started this program, at 6 years old, she could barely recognize/recall the alphabet or count past 10 and now, at 7 years old, she is able to read 4 letter words and do difficult addition math problems. She went from having zero confidence in the classroom and trying to hide, to occasionally raising her hand to answer questions. Not only is the program amazing but so are the staff. They all truly care about every student and want to make sure everyone succeeds.

Kellen is an amazing trainer he truly cares about you as a student and your growth. It is also a very nice facility that is welcoming with very nice staff that makes you feel welcome.

LearningRx in Shoreview is absolutely incredible. We are amazed at the progress our 8-year-old grandson has made since September. Focus, processing, memory functions and reading fluency have all been positively impacted. The staff is friendly and well trained. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience.

I can’t say enough good things about LearningRx in Shoreview! My son has made incredible progress since starting their program. The trainers are not only highly skilled but also genuinely care about each child’s growth and success. The personalized brain training approach has helped boost his confidence, focus, and learning abilities in ways we never imagined. We’ve seen noticeable improvements in his reading, memory, and problem-solving skills.

When my son first started his cognitive training at LearningRx in February 2024, his speech and conversation reciprocity was very limited. Memory recall was an extreme challenge for him and his ability to reason and think things through were difficult tasks. Olivia, his trainer, is simply amazing! She was able to build a wonderful rapport with my son which is not easy given his challenges due to Autism. He has had many different therapists over the past 10 years, and no one has been able to reach him and teach him like Olivia has done.

Denise (Shoreview, MN)

My daughter and son in-law needed to find a way to get their daughter some help with reading. They spoke with a few friends that had children that attended LearningRx with great success. After the evaluation she started and immediately embraced the learning process. I feel very fortunate to be able to bring her to the classes when I can. I am very impressed with her progress in such a short time. Her goal is to be able to read a chapter book like her siblings mine is just to see her read without out her being embarrassed.

My college age daughter completed LearningRx this year. Olivia her brain trainer was absolutely amazing! We were so pleased with her progress and wished we would have known about this earlier in her life!

Kristen (Shoreview, MN)

He has struggled with reading and writing since preschool and only continued to fall further behind even with an IEP/school support plan. Coming to LearningRx has been the best decision we have ever made for our son. He absolutely loves coming, the staff is extremely friendly and, also encouraging. We’ve seen tremendous growth in his reading skills and working memory.

Susan (Shoreview, MN)

We could not recommend this program enough. They worked with us virtually as we were out of state. We wouldn’t have been able to do it if they didn’t have that flexibility. It requires a lot of work on the participants’ part, but we have seen our son grow leaps and bounds in his ability to read and enjoyment of it. It’s worth the investment

Colleen (Shoreview, MN)

You or your child may or may not achieve the same results as past LearningRx clients. But give us a call. We’d love to work with you, too!
