Q: Will this replace the curriculum I’m already using?
A: No: brain training is meant to augment your curriculum and teaching efforts by strengthening the brain’s ability to learn.
Q: Do you help with core subjects like math and reading?
A: Yes! Our brain training programs all start with laying the groundwork to make sure cognitive skills (attention, memory, processing speed, logic, visual processing, and auditory processing) are strong enough to be able to access new content, then we layer on intensive support for reading and math if those are areas of concern.
Q: How long does a LearningRx brain training program last?
A: Each student is different; typical programs range in length from 3-9+ months, but we will review all of your options with you based on the results of the cognitive skills assessment and what goals you have for your child.
Q: Can we train purely remotely?
A: Yes, our remote platform provides the same level of individualized instruction as in-person brain training, with the convenience of you being able to do it from home.
Q: How much does brain training cost?
A: The total cost of LearningRx programs varies widely depending on the scope and goals we decide on together. After we have the cognitive assessment results, we’ll give you exact options based on program type, amount of sessions recommended, and delivery method.
Q: Do you diagnose ADHD or dyslexia for homeschooled students?
A: No, our cognitive assessment is designed to measure the strength or weakness of core cognitive skills we use for thinking, learning, and life. While diagnoses are helpful in some cases, we don’t assign labels based on symptoms or skill levels and instead work one-on-one to target areas that are weak so learning can become easier.
