Deana Smith
Executive Director & Operating Partner
Board Certified Cognitive Specialist
With over 25 years of experience in child development, cognitive training and educational leadership, Deana Smith brings a dynamic blend of passion, expertise and innovation to LearningRx Jacksonville Beach.
For 12 years, Deana served as Executive Director for a national brain training center where she worked hands-on with families navigating learning and behavioral challenges. Her deep expertise in functional neurology, neuroplasticity and cognitive development has helped countless children and adults strengthen their brain skills, improve performance and gain confidence.
Deana is known for creating fun, welcoming environments where students thrive. Her approach to brain training is both professional and personal, having experienced the power of cognitive training in her own children’s lives.
She is thrilled to bring LearningRx’s one-on-one brain training to Jacksonville, Florida and is committed to helping learners of all ages unlock their full potential.
Deana is a proud mom of three. She grew up in South Florida and recently relocated to Jacksonville from Atlanta. She enjoys being outdoors, especially boating, hiking, spending time at the beach and relaxing by the lake.
Olivia Brusaw
Cognitive Brain Trainer
Olivia Brusaw is a dedicated Brain Trainer at LearningRx Jacksonville Beach. She recently graduated from Fayetteville State University in Jacksonville, NC with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Olivia is passionate about cognitive development and especially loves helping children overcome learning challenges. Her enthusiasm for psychology and commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others make her a valued part of our team.
Julia Houston
Cognitive Brain Trainer
Julia is excited to be apart of LearningRx Jacksonville Beach and to help people of all ages strengthen skills they need to learn, think, and perform at their best! She has a background in Public Health, and a passion for helping others reach their goals! Julia has years of experience in child development and tutoring and attends the University of North Florida to further her studies in health education. She loves creating a positive and encouraging environment where learners can build confidence and see real progress!
Jamie Burks
Cognitive Brain Trainer
Jamie Burks earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Gulf Coast University and has professional experience teaching both elementary and middle school students. She most recently served as a nonprofit program manager overseeing teen initiatives, where she developed and led impactful programming. Jamie has always been passionate about working with children and is excited to bring her expertise to LearningRx as a Brain Trainer, supporting learners in building skills and confidence.
