When this student first came to LearningRx Columbus-Dublin for cognitive skills training, his family wanted to help him become more engaged with learning. He needed support with listening and finding more enjoyment in learning. His family also had concerns about his motivation in school, math, and behavior. Although he demonstrated strengths in several areas, his family wanted to better understand the underlying skills that support learning and identify where additional support could help.
🔎 Finding the Right Starting Point for Learning
The family was already familiar with LearningRx because the student’s brother had participated in the program and later moved into a gifted program. That experience encouraged the family to explore LearningRx for him too.
His initial cognitive skills assessment showed a unique pattern of strengths and areas that could benefit from additional practice. Auditory memory was one area identified for support, while he demonstrated strengths in several other learning and thinking skills.
🧠 Building Cognitive Skills Through ThinkRx
He worked one-on-one through ThinkRx, LearningRx’s foundational cognitive training program. ThinkRx targets core skills used for learning and thinking, including attention, memory, processing speed, auditory and visual processing, and logic and reasoning.
Through one-on-one training, he practiced the underlying skills that support learning, including attention, memory, processing speed, reasoning, and working with information.

⭐His Progress
After completing ThinkRx training, his post-training assessment showed growth across several learning and thinking skills.
He demonstrated progress in auditory memory, logic and reasoning, processing speed, attention, and word attack. These skills support listening, remembering information, solving problems, staying engaged, and working through new information.
His post-training assessment provided a documented picture of his progress across several of the skills he practiced during his LearningRx experience.
