“As a parent, LearningRx has given me the opportunity to help my son Tyler with many academic and personal gains. The training has given him more confidence to try something new and to stick with it even though it may be difficult, like vocabulary and mental math. It has increased his desire to start and continue a conversation with those he meets every day rather than to stand there and smile, ready to exit. The initial testing at LearningRx gave a clear picture of the silent suffering Tyler endured through his elementary, middle and high school years. I knew his processing speed was a concern along with mild attention deficit through testing many years ago, but medication and extra time for tests were the only recommendations. I refused medication and continued searching for answers as to why he rebelled at homework, why he didn’t ask for extended help and why his grades went from A’s to D’s to A’s again. Like an answer to a prayer, surfing the internet for more information on “why”, I saw the website for LearningRx. Finally, I had found my answers. Our 24-week program has ended this week, and I am anxious for Tyler to use what he has learned his sophomore year in high school. I am so thankful for the directors for opening a LearningRx center with dedicated and loving staff and giving me an opportunity to help my son.”
