Reading tutoring tends to focus on practicing reading and memorizing spelling, which requires strong underlying cognitive skills. If these underlying skills haven’t been developed, a reading tutor might not be the right choice.

After he completed the program the first year, his reading significantly improved along with his word attack. He loves to read and this really helped his confidence. I would highly recommend this program for anyone struggling with reading comprehension and math skills, especially if you tried traditional tutoring.
