From skeptical to beyond satisfied! We are very satisfied with our experience at LearningRX. The staff was helpful and easy to work with. We are pleased with our son’s progress and look forward to him continuing his improvement.
I have been few places more encouraging, welcoming, or accepting than our local LearningRX. Far more important than growth in his cognitive abilities — and there was a lot of growth! — we valued the constant emphasis of success being tied to cheerful effort. That made it possible for our son to move beyond his emotions and debilitating perfectionism and allowed him to Keep Trying until he had mastered a difficult task. He also learned that he’s valued for WHO he is, not WHAT he can do.
We have noticed that homework is being done faster and even being started on his own. Our daughter was really struggling and we were concerned that she may not move to the next grade in school. Not only has LearningRx given her the mental exercises to improve, but it has given her the tools that she can utilize in learning at home and at school that will allow her to be successful in her future. She has moved from a place of defeat and sometimes despair to one of being hopeful and having plans for her future. She has learned that she can do hard things.
Our son and us were fortunate to have found LearningRx to help him with so many important aspects of his everyday life. He eagerly attended 107 brain training sessions that he gave his best effort, energy and determination to get the most out of every minute he was there. Our son has seen so many improvements, I can’t list them all here, but I’ll highlight a few of the most important ones – many around improvements to his safety. I can comprehend what I read better, and my writing skills have generally improved (whether it is more reflective or academic writing). I have also noticed improvements in my overall memory. The activities completed each session were very helpful in my improvement.
Our experience in LearningRx has been the best decision we ever made. The trainers are the best and the passion they put into it made a difference in my child’s life. We have seen so much improvement on our son that from day one we knew we were at the right place to starting to read and now able to even read and text back to people when before he was using voice command. My daughter has been brain training with Courtney for couple of months now. Our daughter says she has better organizational skills. She has been using the visualization she has learned when driving to areas she isn’t familiar with. Being able to pay attention easier to everything going on around her while driving as well as on the soccer field has improved. She also is able to hold information in her head longer when looking up answers to homework questions. This training will follow her for the rest of her life. I am excited to see how much more she will improve by the completion of this program.

The transition from High School to College was rough (with COVID complications). My daughter’s confidence was shot and her focus was distracted as best given the unusual stressful events. Learning Rx was a God send. With my daughter’s commitment and the guidance of a highly inspirational instructor, my daughter improved her memory and ability to tune out distractions. She learned how to establish a plan for study patterns and follow through on that plan. Her confidence level is remarkably better and is supported by her improved performance at college.

My child is more confident in herself and school. She is not avoiding reading, she knows that she is capable and wants to continue to improve. She can focus easier and when she is told homework needs to get done, she gets it done. She is not running to use the bathroom as an excuse to avoid schoolwork.

Shannon and Sofia did a spectacular job of encouraging and training a kid who has already significantly struggled in school and was very reluctant to engage in learning to open up out of her shell. They did an amazing job! To be fair, this is not an inexpensive tutoring service, but there is the potential for great improvement for kids who may have struggled with other academic support programs.
He was getting distracted really easily by other students and noises in the classroom and it hindered his ability to stay on task. I was nervous about the thought of him beginning to drive with how easily distracted he can get but after this program I have seen a huge difference in him. If your child is struggling to pay attention in a distracting school environment, feeling like they’re stupid, or not enjoying school because they’re having trouble completing tasks then this program is for them. Give yourself or your child this gift it’s worth it. I highly recommend this program!
Our son’s reading ability and comprehension has increased significantly after completing this program. I don’t know of anything else out there like it. It is a very different approach from traditional tutoring and very effective. I highly recommend them.
After he completed the program the first year, his reading significantly improved along with his word attack. He loves to read and this really helped his confidence. I would highly recommend this program for anyone struggling with reading comprehension and math skills, especially if you tried traditional tutoring. This is not a tutoring program, it is building a foundation on how to process skills in order to perform well in all areas of life including school. If you are like us that tried everything and nothing has worked, I would recommend giving LearningRx/Doug Mapp a call and let him help!
When we brought our six year old son to Learning Rx he was in special ed for reading and math. He was spending more time in the principle’s office than in his classroom. He is now in regular class for both reading and math. He has not gone to the principle’s office this school year. When asked why he liked Learning Rx he stated that it helped his brain think like all the other kids. We highly recommend this program. The cost and the time spent is well worth the return.
Dylan is more independent, confident, and resilient. He is capable of completing tasks now without our intervention or support.
What an amazing experience! Our child (8) with ADHD and likely dyslexia had difficulty picking up reading/spelling/language before this program. He is now on track for his age and grade for reading but his memory, focus, and brain stamina have all exponentially expanded. Would highly recommend.
My daughter was really struggling to read. Letter recognition and phonetics were so hard for her to remember. She was also struggling to stay focused for an extended period of time as well. After attending LearningRx for the past few months, we have seen drastic changes. Not only does she now know her letters and sounds. She’s READING! This program has helped her confidence in school. She is able to do seat work with little to no guidance from her teacher.

Before coming to LearningRx, I was on medication for ADD and was having a difficult time concentrating and staying focused on tasks. Just a couple weeks after starting my training, I stopped taking my medication and saw improvements in my daily activities. I am able now to focus on finishing a task once its started. I can remember things much better now as well such as things I need to do or grocery lists. The most significant improvement I have seen is in my attention.
