Lily was a 19-year-old who was very bright but who also always struggled. Her parents hoped that her difficulties would work themselves out, but they did not. As a result, her parents knew they needed to help Lily. Her initial assessment showed that Lily had very strong skills, but her working memory and processing speed were not strong. These weaknesses were undermining Lily and resulted in difficulties with attention skills, motivation and completing her homework in a timely manner. Everything was harder for Lily which then showed up as avoidance, motivation issues and feeling overwhelmed.
After her LearningRx program, Lily’s working memory and processing speed jumped to over the 90th percentile and these difficulties no longer plague her. Lily is now a confident 20-year old and shared that her LearningRx training allowed her to “get her joy back”.
Lily did so well that she is now a trainer training others who have academic struggles with attention or reading or executive function.

We are so grateful for coming across LearningRx! Hartney approached the notion of “cognitive training” with a healthy dose of 13yo reluctance, but graduated with a “you can’t get rid of me that easily” attitude as she heads off to 9th grade. This speaks volumes to not only the staff and trainers she worked with but the value she, herself, found in the work she did 3 times a week with them for 5 months. We see a greater confidence and sense that she can take on whatever comes at her in school. She knows she has the tools to be successful in a rigorous high school environment and we’re hopeful she’ll tap into all the skills she’s developed from day one. Time will tell, but we’re feeling positive! We’re happy to talk to anyone about our experiences and share the benefits we’ve seen for Hartney!
