Interventions for ADHD need to target more than attention, though. In fact, those that focus only on attention are missing the boat! Research shows working memory, long-term memory, and processing speed are also problematic for those with ADHD.

The reason why I could succeed was that I was on ADHD medication, but the medication made me extremely depressed and enraged all of the time. When I stopped taking it, I was filled with great joy because of my newfound freedom. But something was still wrong.
