Terissa (Teri) Miller, MS Psy

Director

I’ve been a part of behind-the-scenes cognitive research with LearningRx for 7 years and am thrilled to now be working directly with our families, students, and trainers. I’m passionate about the real-life benefits of LearningRx brain training, have personally experienced the transformations in my own kiddo, and am so honored to be a part of this life-changing process!

My Favorite Thing About Brain Training:

My favorite thing about brain training are the people! I am so grateful to get to know the students and their families and their incredible stories. In the short time that I have been here, I have already been privileged enough to witness the positive impact that brain training makes. Additionally, we have a great group of trainers and staff that are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do!

More about me: I am a Colorado Springs Native and I love scary movies!

My favorite thing about Brain Training:

I love to see the change in a student’s confidence. It may be a student that’s comfortable reading for the first time, a student that’s no longer anxious about attacking a new challenge, or a student doing math more quickly than they ever thought possible. It’s so rewarding to see a student feel good about what he or she is able to do.

More about me:

I started brain training at LearningRx in 2004. I grew up in Nebraska and enjoy reading, playing board games and cards, watching sports, and doing crafts.

Brian

Brain Trainer

My favorite thing about Brain Training:

The smaller moments where breakthroughs happen. When some activity has been difficult for too long and their hard work pays off. It’s not always that something ‘clicks’, it’s not always some huge event. Those happen and they are great, but sometimes it’s a small step forward that proves the student can do even difficult tasks. The relief on their face when they surpass their own difficulty; it’s like nothing else.

My favorite hobbies:

I enjoy reading fiction and creative writing.

My favorite thing about Brain Training:

I absolutely love building connections with kiddos, and watching them challenge themselves and blossom! It’s such a rewarding experience getting to be a part of their growth and see it happen right in front of you.

More about me:

I have a background in performing arts and have travelled the world teaching kids in over 9 different countries. I have been a dance instructor and worked as a performer in Disneyland California and Paris! Besides dancing and singing, some of my other favorite things include doing crafts, reading, watching movies, snorkeling and spending quality time with my family!

Brain Trainer

My favorite thing about Brain Training:

My favorite thing about brain training is that I get the chance to work with a lot of kids who have similar struggles as I did when I went through LearningRx. I love seeing kids who are struggling with reading be able to pronounce harder words and start to read more fluidly. English. Is. Hard!

My favorite hobbies:

I’m a rock climber and a musician, I play flute and piccolo in the city’s youth symphony. Some of my favorite past-times are to do the Manitou Incline, go climbing outdoors, and ride dirt bikes!
