Meet the Team at LearningRx Colorado Springs!

Dr. Jody Jedlicka
Executive Director
I’m Dr. Jody Jedlicka, an audiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children with auditory processing disorders. It was my search for effective treatment options for my patients that led me to LearningRx in 2004. Since being introduced to LearningRx, I have owned and operated 3 LearningRx locations, 2 in Wisconsin and 1 in Honolulu, HI. I now oversee operations at the Colorado Springs center and am the Director of Support for the LearningRx World Headquarters, also located in Colorado Springs. My favorite part of my work is being able to interact with families, students and staff at the center and be a part of the training and support for other LearningRx centers in the US and Canada.
Originally from Wisconsin, I have been married for more than 37 years. I am mom to 3 adult children, grandma to 5 grandchildren and dog-mom to my rescue, Mikey. I love to spend free time with family – traveling, biking, hiking, exploring restaurants and cheering for Milwaukee Brewers baseball.

Crystal Dandrea
Center Director
Board Certified Cognitive Coach
I joined LearningRx in July 2023 as the Assistant Director, and I am excited to have moved into the Director role. I come from a family of educators, which is where my passion for learning and education came from. I am inspired when working with the neurodivergent population. I hold an Associates degree from Pikes Peak State College.
My passion for LearningRx is deeply personal. Having experienced the difference brain training can make in overcoming challenges, I am dedicated to guiding other families through their own transformations. I bring dedication and heart to my role. My leadership is centered on creating a supportive, encouraging environment for families and trainers alike. I value creating meaningful relationships with families and students here at LearningRx by taking interest in their everyday lives.
I have three children, ages 13, 15, and 20. I enjoy spending time with them and supporting their many talents and interests. I love true crime, horror movies, swimming, and football.

Carolyn Wright
Assistant Director/Director of Training
I joined LearningRx in April 2024 after working in education for nearly two decades. My experience as a public school teacher and an aquatic educator has granted me opportunities to work with students of all ages and backgrounds, including adults. I am particularly passionate about working with students with disabilities, students requiring behavioral or emotional support, and the LGBTQ+ community. Years of working as an English Language Arts teacher and reading interventionist in a Title I middle school have provided me with invaluable insight into underserved populations. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications with a minor in Early Childhood Education from New Mexico State University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado.
I enjoy HIIT workouts, sudoku puzzles, and snuggles with my dog. I love sports, especially swimming, college football, and supporting local sports teams. I have been a die hard Swiftie since 2006, and my favorite song is Long Live. I enjoy writing poetry and short prose, as well as creating mixed media art. I am an extremely picky eater, and my favorite food is cheese pizza. I collect tchotchkes, stickers, and fabric birds from Target. My two favorite movies are Stand by Me and Wicked.
I pride myself on building relationships and taking a genuine interest in my students’ lives beyond LearningRx. My approach fosters mutual respect and produces results. I make it a point to truly get to know my students while maintaining the intensity and fidelity of the LearningRx program.

Brian
Brain Trainer
I became a trainer at LearningRx in January 2019. I first came to LearningRx when I was in middle school, as a student. My father suffered from some significant memory loss and brain damage from a bout with bacterial meningitis, and the VA steered our family toward LearningRx. My father went through the program and saw remarkable improvement, so he and my mom went and sent my brother and me through the program too! Years later, I came back to become a trainer myself because the training made a strong impression on me and showed me the huge impact even a small shift in perspective can have.
I enjoy creative writing, playing online video games with my brother, and winning my family’s fantasy football league through nothing but sheer luck and gall. I love vocabulary, and I play the Wordle (almost) everyday, and I love teaching people just about anything I can.
I have experience with LearningRx games and exercises that goes back decades, and I’ve learned how to tailor each and every one of them for any student’s level of skill or difficulty. In training, I’m equal parts intense and encouraging, but I know firsthand how important it is to give students breathing room at the right times. Balancing intensity with support is crucial for any student to feel challenged but not overwhelmed, and my history as a LearningRx student gives me a unique perspective to do just that.

Sarah
Brain Trainer
I became a LearningRx trainer in September 2024 after undergoing an intense treatment for my traumatic brain injury. That experience, coupled with 10 years as a nanny and 5 years working with special needs kids has been invaluable to this job. I strive to make a fun and safe learning environment where I can both challenge and encourage my students in the way they receive best. Whether I’m working here, as a vocal coach or piano instructor, I’m passionate about helping people find what makes them tick. I love behavioral science. If we can understand how each personality works, we can almost always eliminate any argument. It’s incredible.
Saying I love to sing would be an understatement. I was made to sing! I also enjoy being in nature – hiking in the forests near mountains and rivers. If I’m in nature, I’m happy. I also recently rediscovered my love for playing basketball. I pride myself on my love for science and math, and I use it in everyday life like cooking. I smile when I paint or go out swing dancing! I enjoy listening to Christian artists, and I’m new to country music. I love the song, “Till You Can’t!”
My approach at LearningRx is to incorporate fun and creativity, and that helps me get great results. I delight when a student has a breakthrough in the program and their eyes light up. I love hearing parents’ testimonials about how their children are doing better in school or their confidence is soaring. My personal favorite is when they’re able to better communicate with each other in a loving and respectful way.

Kim
Brain Trainer
I’ve been training students at LearningRx since 2004. I’ve also served in the role of Director of Training doing staff development and training as well as occasionally helping out at our home office with training or curriculum development. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Education from Regis University in Denver. Prior to my time at LearningRx I coached gymnastics, taught preschool, and worked in collegiate ministry.
In my free time I enjoy crafts, reading, and playing games. My husband and I love to travel, see an occasional musical, and watch sports together. We especially love the Colorado Avalanche!
I love working with students of all ages and a diversity of training goals. I really enjoy simplifying concepts and identifying the best way to help accomplish the unique goals of each student. I think the most rewarding part of training students is watching them develop skills and grow in confidence as they overcome difficulties and achieve new things.

Maggie
Brain Trainer
I joined the LearningRx team in May 2024. I am a current student at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. My education has allowed me to gain insight in childhood development, learning and cognitive disabilities, and behavior. My studies primarily focus on disability, mental health and wellbeing, and intersectionality. I have also conducted research in both psychology and sociology fields. I am very passionate about working with students in diverse populations, particularly those in the LGBTQ+ community and students with disabilities.
I enjoy virtually all forms of visual arts and crafts, but I particularly love coloring books and painting. I can also frequently be found watching movies. My favorite films are Beetlejuice, Forrest Gump, and all things Tim Burton. I enjoy playing card games and virtual games, such as Animal Crossing and Mario Party. I also love finding local small businesses to support and collecting trinkets or vintage magazines from flea markets.
I am very passionate about helping my students build their skills and gain confidence in themselves. I take a calm and patient approach, while also making sure to push my students to reach their goals. I always make sure to make LearningRx feel like a safe space to foster growth and positivity in the center.
