Back to School Concerns?

COVID-19 has majorly impacted everyone and kids perhaps more than anyone. Full or part-time distance learning, canceled or restricted sports and activities, less social interaction, family financial struggles, fear of the virus…the list goes on.

It’s important to recognize that kids’ worlds were turned upside down overnight and most are still dealing with the effects in one way or another. We are seeing many more students who are not only struggling academically, but various mental health struggles like anxiety and lower self-esteem.

By now you’ve probably heard the term “COVID fog.” While this certainly applies to people who contract the virus and deal with the residual brain fog-like effects, there’s another form of COVID fog that’s impacting our children and teens.

Have you noticed any of these symptoms lately in kids you’re working with?

  • Cognitive decline
  • Anxiety
  • Agitation
  • Declining social skills
  • Decreased memory
  • Attention/focus issues
  • Lack of motivation
  • Struggles with reading or reading comprehension

Because, in many cases, children are lacking the intellectual and social stimulation they’re accustomed to, their cognitive skills are becoming weaker and brain fog is setting in. Without the proper intervention, this COVID-induced brain fog can have serious implications on their mental health and their cognitive skills can continue to deteriorate.Fortunately, at LearningRx, we are uniquely positioned to help! We offer intensive and engaging brain-boosting exercises targeted at each child’s specific needs. These exercises strengthen weak cognitive skills and make learning and interacting easier. Strong cognitive skills can also reduce feelings of depression and anxiety by facilitating a child’s ability to process information and by increasing their self-confidence.

Strong cognitive skills are the path through the fog and into a healthier mental space.

We currently offer virtual training, combination on-site/off-site training and full on-site training to best accommodate our clients.

We would love to help your child the way we helped Ashley, who has thrived during these tougher times due to her LearningRx training:

“In 9th grade Ashley was starting to struggle with tests and feel down about her results and grades. It was obvious that she wasn’t able to get organized in her thoughts to form an action plan to learn. The atmosphere in the house was stressful when it came to talking about her homework and if it was completed. A friend told us about LearningRx and we decided to enroll Ashley.

After a few months of training, Ashley reported that she felt able to process her work easier, was more organized and on top of her homework. Her confidence skyrocketed and she developed a love for learning. Her attitude, progress and results were overflowing and were recognized by her teachers who in turn chose her for OUTSTANDING CHARACTER for the “Teachers Top Pick” her junior year. LearningRx has turned Ashley’s life around! We cannot thank you enough for providing such a great program!
