Through brain training, we have helped students of all ages strengthen these skills and address the root cause of learning struggles. In addition to brain training for clients with ADHD, dyslexia, speech delays, and autism, we offer individualized programs for clients with other learning challenges.

By creating a program that’s tailored to your child’s needs and goals (or your own!), we can focus on the underlying cause of learning struggles. Our one-on-one programs are a great way to work on cognitive skills and become a more confident learner!

Between 2010 and 2022, more than 2,804 kids and teens with learning disabilities completed a brain training program at LearningRx. On average, these students improved their learning skills by 3.5 years with LearningRx! This includes a gain of 4.8 years in auditory processing.

LearningRx creates individualized programs for kids and adults with learning disorders and other learning differences.

We start by performing an assessment, which measures the performance of core learning skills. This gives you a detailed picture of learning skills for you or your child, and it can identify which skills are the root cause of learning difficulties.

Tutoring tends to focus on delivering information and accommodating each student. In many cases, tutors will find workarounds or accommodations for learning difficulties. This puts students in a position where they can only succeed with accommodations.

Brain training is focused on the root cause of learning difficulties. Our goal is to strengthen underlying learning and thinking skills. When students develop these skills, they can become more confident, more independent, and more successful learners!

We found LearningRx when we were seeking help for our 10 year old son, Gabe. Every year at school, we were told that his reading is below grade level. This was exhibited at home with nightly struggles to complete homework, usually entailing two hours of arguing, tears and frustration to complete 15 minutes of homework. Almost immediately, Gabe was reading things at random out loud to us. When school started in the fall, he started doing his homework by himself, without the usual coaxing and arguing.

Before coming to LearningRx, I was on medication for ADD and was having a difficult time concentrating and staying focused on tasks. Just a couple weeks after starting my training, I stopped taking my medication and saw improvements in my daily activities. I am able now to focus on finishing a task once its started. The reason why I could succeed was that I was on ADHD medication, but the medication made me extremely depressed and enraged all of the time. When I stopped taking it, I was filled with great joy because of my newfound freedom. But something was still wrong. Without the medication, I forgot the first part of the sentence by the end of the second part of the sentence. My imagination never turned off, and despite going to school an hour early and tutoring for an hour after school, I barely passed with Cs. Then I enrolled in LearningRx. Within three months, I was on fire. I could concentrate, handle awkward social situations, find motivation, put my creative ideas in paper. I attacked school with newfound strength. Last year I was the slowest kid in the class, but this year I am one of the fastest and smartest.
