Brain Training or Reading Tutoring?

While tutoring can help some students, it might not be the best fit for you or your child. Reading tutoring tends to focus on practicing reading and memorizing spelling, which requires strong underlying cognitive skills. If these underlying skills haven’t been developed, a reading tutor might not be the right choice.

LearningRx offers a way to build the underlying skills that are at the root of most reading struggles. Rather than simply repeating content and memorizing words, LearningRx’s brain training gives readers the skills they need to become more intuitive, independent, and confident readers.

The reason why I could succeed was that I was on ADHD medication, but the medication made me extremely depressed and enraged all of the time. When I stopped taking it, I was filled with great joy because of my newfound freedom. But something was still wrong. Without the medication, I forgot the first part of the sentence by the end of the second part of the sentence. My imagination never turned off, and despite going to school an hour early and tutoring for an hour after school, I barely passed with Cs. Then I enrolled in LearningRx.
