After going through the program for three months, my child’s attitude toward school has changed dramatically. He used to be a student whom teachers paid little attention to. Last month, he was named Student of the Month. He is so proud of himself.
He has struggled with reading and writing since preschool and only continued to fall further behind even with an IEP/school support plan. I turned 68 and finished my training at RX Learning in Charlottesville a few weeks ago. Michelle, my trainer, made my experience enjoyable, beneficial and relevant. He still is not at grade level but his ability to learn is improved. The center, director and trainer were always supportive of our needs. We came in looking for additional help, especially in reading, for our son who is so bright but was struggling with his schoolwork. The assessment affirmed what we thought as far as some cognitive skills which needed strengthening. I homeschool so I’ve been able to give him tons of one-on-one tutoring, but the improvement has been so slow. Before coming to LearningRx, I was on medication for ADD and was having a difficult time concentrating and staying focused on tasks. Just a couple weeks after starting my training, I stopped taking my medication and saw improvements in my daily activities. I am able now to focus on finishing a task once its started. I can remember things much better now as well such as things I need to do or grocery lists. The most significant improvement I have seen is in my attention.

I highly recommend the Atlanta Buckhead location of LearningRX! My child went through the cognitive training LearningRX program this year. LearningRX gives a pre- and post-test in a number of different areas and, relative to the pre-test, my child’s post-test showed tremendous, quantified improvement in almost every category that was part of the program! My child’s tutor, Christen, was amazing – smart, assertive with giving the right amount of push, adaptive, highly communicative, encouraging and dedicated!

The program trainers worked hard to challenge Deacon in such a way to have optimal growth in reading and comprehension. The center and brain training activities were engaging and kept Deacon in a place of wanting to continue with things that are very hard for him. He was cared for and he could tell he was liked and being championed each time he had a session. Deacon now has more confidence in reading.
Our adopted daughter struggled in every socially setting and with impulse control. She made so much progress in this program are watching her thrive every day. We were educated and well informed after our daughter’s testing. We were communicated with well about scheduling, sessions and progress. At completion we were not surprised at the awesome progress our daughter had made, because we saw her growth as it happened.
My daughter made an incredible amount of growth in her skills while at LearningRx, but even more than that, her confidence is soaring. When we used to go to the library, Piper would come home empty handed. Yesterday she brought home a book with over 300 pages–her confidence is that high. I’m grateful for the gentle encouragement and tough, supportive love from her trainer, Mary, through the last half year.
My 24 year old daughter has Down Syndrome…Before Learning RX my daughter had tried many ways to learn to read, and she would always get stuck on blending words. Learning RX’s expertise on the brain and learning has proved that my daughter can read. She can blend words now and she’s believing in herself and gaining skills to help her into a more independent life. We are making huge strides just within 3 months!!
I suffered a traumatic brain injury and due to this I was struggling in school, at home, with daily tasks, and socially. After completing the program, I’m remembering information in school and passing with flying colors. Great program! My son completed about 4 months of the program and made such a huge change! I wasn’t for sure until I saw the numbers go up! The program director Mrs Donesa was great and very accommodating! My son’s instructor was also great as well, they align the kids to who suits them best, which is great! I would highly recommend.
