We came in looking for additional help, especially in reading, for our son who is so bright but was struggling with his schoolwork. Learning RX has been very beneficial for my 11 year old. I can see improvements already (just about 3 months) with her memory, attention and focus. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and due to this I was struggling in school, at home, with daily tasks, and socially. After completing the program, I’m remembering information in school and passing with flying colors. I used to feel very foggy, confused and irritated throughout the day because it was so hard to focus or remember anything. I feel like this program gave me my life back after the TBI and I’m forever grateful.
My son had a TBI (due to an AVM) at the age of 19. We were told about LearningRx and that they were very successful with TBI patients. We attended for 8 months. It was not an easy journey for him, but with his trainer, Will, Dargan and the staff at LearningRX he might not have possibly accomplished what he has done in the past 10 years. Since then he has graduated with an Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, assistant coach/head coach of his middle school since 2014. Happily married, two beautiful boys, and just passed his physical trainer test.
The improvements my son experienced were undeniable and I think their program is very well done. My son was really struggling with auditory processing issues and he was spiraling at home and school. LearningRx not only identified what his issues were, but they explained them in such a way that took the fear out of the unknown.

It was amazing how this brain training positively affected every aspect of my 8-year old’s life, from comprehending what he read to learning and speaking to building confidence in himself and working through the meltdowns rather than shutting down. Homework time, discipline time, and times of losing are also a lot easier with new understanding. All of which will make his life lessons, now and in the future, easier to adapt to and learn from!

Desmond has been known in school for his high intelligence and ability to catch on to concepts and even help his peers understand. Yet, even from a young age he was sometimes labeled as “defiant” or “lazy” because he would forget to put away a chair, or turn in his homework, or even remember to write down he had homework. My son has Aspergers and was really hard for him to tell me what happen at school or tell me anything. In the second month I started to notice he was talking more, my sister noticed the same and even one teacher told me this boy is different he is talking way more. This is the main progress that I appreciate about this program, he gained more confidence too.

I turned 68 and finished my training at RX Learning in Charlottesville a few weeks ago. Michelle, my trainer, made my experience enjoyable, beneficial and relevant.
