I am a 56-year-old retired Executive who was diagnosed 2 years ago with aphasia and a rare dementia. I was determined to fight my diseases. I researched for someone to help me exercise my progressing dying communication part of my brain, not to make it better, but to slow down my regression. After the year of pushing my brain, I now have other strategies now and the future, i.e. memory.

I have done Learning RX brain training programs for two of my children. First, my son, who we still continue to see the benefits from. Even though his program was completed more than 3 years ago! Second, my daughter did the lift off program when she was 6 years old. Since I still had my sons’ program materials, we decided I would train my daughter at home. My daughter is making huge improvements! I am once again convinced that I made the right decision investing in this program for my kids.
Everyone has worked so super great with our son and made sure he had everything he needed to work with. Our son has fine motor skills problems and before going to LearningRx you could not read his writing. After his trainer Ms. Diana worked with him on his writing skills and hand muscles; we could not believe how well his writing improved.
My son started at LearningRx struggling with letter recognition and letter sounds. After just 30 sessions, he is reading and testing above average for his age and grade. The trainers genuinely care, and Gina really helped us understand where our son was struggling, and where improvement was needed. Development of confidence in learning and perseverance. During the process there was always the concern of preserving confidence and self-esteem while learning and meeting new challenges. The staff were always patient, helpful, and kind.
Last year, Kayla had a tough time concentrating, being organized, and completing tasks set for her. She was struggling in school and had low self-esteem. We knew she needed more help than we could give her. We received the flyer for LearningRx in the mail, attended the seminar, and have never looked back. I highly recommend Learning Rx. My daughter has just completed the program and has made significant gains across the board. Our son came into the program while in grade 1 with significant anxiety when it came to his class performance. This was most striking when it came to reading. There were concerns with ADHD and possibly dyslexia. He is listening better and his reading has taken huge strides forward. You can see how this has improved his confidence.
The improvement in his overall willingness to work on academics has been wonderful. I am a big fan! He has learned to keep trying, mistakes or wrong answers are okay. He no longer gets as frustrated or upset with wrong answers.

When you see the changes in your child from the beginning to the end, it is very rewarding. Our son was very reluctant at the beginning of training but started to show joy in sharing the activities he was working on. We have seen our son be able to sit for longer periods of time when completing tasks. His attention span has lengthened which has improved his work at school.

As someone who’s had my fair share of bike crashes and TBIs, I can’t emphasize enough how important brain training is. I’ve had the pleasure of hearing Kathi speak to several groups I’m involved with, and she truly knows her stuff when it comes to the brain. My 15-year old was struggling with getting school work done and for the first time lacked confidence that he could do it. Definitely would recommend. My son was having a hard time focusing and would daydream a lot. His attitude and confidence started to tank after his grades weren’t matching his siblings.
