Molly Hastings-Parke

Owner/ Executive Director

Board Certified Cognitive Specialist (BCCS)

Molly has spent over a decade with LearningRx. She took over as owner in 2019. Molly is passionate about changing lives and offering people hope through learning. Growing up she always wanted to be a teacher or a psychologist. She believes that kids (and adults) should be met where they are in their learning journeys. Molly holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and studied elementary education. Additionally, she went to graduate school for social work.

Molly grew up in Michigan and enjoys reading (her favorite books are the Harry Potter series) and hanging out with her kids. Her favorite subjects in school were math and literature and coincidentally to this day, they are her favorite to teach. Her favorite thing about LearningRx is being able to change lives through brain training and being able to give people hope.

Katie Durbin

Center Director

Board Certified Cognitive Coach (BCCC)

Katie has worked at LearningRx since early 2017. When she was growing up she shocked everyone by saying she wanted to be a grandmother. She eventually settled on a teacher and will forever be a preschool teacher in her heart.

Her favorite subject to tutor and teach is reading, but in school she loved english. When she discovered her love for humanities in college, she ended up with her minor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and though it changes (quite often!), her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice.

Her favorite thing about LearningRx is that it feels like family. “I love the people that I work with and I know that we all want the same thing – to help our students be the best that they can be. To make their lives and experiences easier. You will not find anyone that cares more than the people here,” she shares.

Katie loves to spend time with her husband and their three girls. She enjoys finding new things around Louisville to do and read.

Matt Beardslee

Brain Trainer

Board Certified Cognitive Coach (BCCC)

Matt holds his master’s degree in social work and spent years serving in mobile crisis in Brooklyn, New York. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, staying active, and watching shows with his wife and three dogs. His favorite subjects to tutor and teach are reading and math. He wanted to be a marine biologist or a oceanographer growing up so it makes sense that his favorite subject in school was science. He believes that learning is mostly about wonder and curiosity and that specific subject areas may be tedious, but our capacity to wonder is limitless. Matt has many favorite books but his most recent favorite was All the Light We Cannot See. His favorite part about working at LearningRx is the enthusiasm and wonder of the kids and watching them work hard.

David R. Scott

Growing up, David always wanted to be a missionary to Rwanda. It comes as no surprise that his preferred subject in college was Theology and Application. His favorite part about working at LearningRx is helping students work through challenges and encouraging them.

In his free time, David enjoys reading, knitting, and crocheting.
