Reading lessons are done so much more quickly now. She has a much better attitude doing them because she doesn’t struggle as much. She also picks up her own books and tries to read them on her own.
The big thing for us is responsiveness and taking the time to clearly respond. The director was always accessible, and as accommodating as needed. When we needed to make changes, she also took action. I think there were some unforeseen staffing challenges the director has to respond to, and I thought Vincent didn’t really lose too much of a connection when the changes were made.
We came in looking for additional help, especially in reading, for our son who is so bright but was struggling with his schoolwork. The assessment affirmed what we thought as far as some cognitive skills which needed strengthening. I homeschool so I’ve been able to give him tons of one-on-one tutoring, but the improvement has been so slow. We are so excited about his progress and believe we have found just the right tool to make the bridges in his mind and give him the help he needs. Very thankful to have found this place!
Our son has increased his attention for a longer period of time in the classroom and is a more active participant during classroom discussions. Our son shows more willingness to read at home. Hearing the news that your daughter has dyslexia is quite frightening. As a parent all you see is your bright, beautiful, and perfect little girl. Your first thought is fear, but then you want to help. Reaching out to LearningRx was the best academic decision we could have ever made for her. The biggest change we saw in him was his ability to listen, focus and pay attention. He is now able to keep himself on task and focused on what he is doing while also listening to those around him. He has been able to listen and not need for it to be repeated, while also retaining what he heard to apply or question it later.
We enrolled in LearningRx because we wanted him to have all the tools to be successful in life. We noticed differences and results in many ways throughout the program. His PSAT score jumped 100 points with 90 of the points being in the reading/comprehension section and he achieved Academic Dean’s List. More importantly, he noticed the difference. I had a consultation with LearningRx to assess my memory and logical thinking. The system that LearningRx uses to assess and strengthen your weaknesses is very innovative and I felt like it gave me great insights on how I can improve.
He was getting distracted really easily by other students and noises in the classroom and it hindered his ability to stay on task. I was nervous about the thought of him beginning to drive with how easily distracted he can get but after this program I have seen a huge difference in him.
