Their dedication to improving the lives of our clients shows in the research results, client outcomes, and reviews from clients and their families.

Kim Hanson, CEO of LearningRx

Kim Hanson, CEO

Kim Hanson is the Chief Executive Officer of LearningRx. She began her leadership role with the organization in 2004 as Executive Vice President and was named CEO in 2017. Her career passion is to help professionals, educators, and parents learn more about cognitive skills training and the dramatic results it can have on real-life performance.

Prior to her time with LearningRx, Ms. Hanson worked in education with second and fifth graders at several inner-city schools in Nashville and Minneapolis. She is Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) and is a graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis. Ms. Hanson is the proud daughter of Dr. Ken Gibson, founder of LearningRx, with whom she co-authored the book Unlock the Einstein Inside: Applying New Brain Science to Wake Up the Smart in Your Child.

Beyond the workplace, she currently enjoys mentoring high school and college students as they identify future career options. In addition, she is a vocal advocate for the civil rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Ms. Hanson has been married to Dr. Wayne Hanson for over 25 years and together they are busy raising their four children: Lily, Zac, Max, and Gracie. In her free time, Ms. Hanson loves creating custom pottery for family and friends. She also loves watching football on Sundays, as she is a diehard Green Bay Packers fan.

Dean Tenpas, COO

Dean Tenpas is the Chief Operating Officer at LearningRx. Mr. Tenpas oversees finance, human resources, technology, and the operations departments. Prior to his current role, Mr. Tenpas served as Executive Vice President. With a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Wisconsin, Mr. Tenpas also co-created many of the company’s cognitive training exercises and programs, as well as the ReadRx® reading program and assessments used by clinicians and brain training centers in the United States and around the world.

Dean, his wife Candy and their five children ages 13-24, love the outdoors and sports; with football and basketball being their biggest commitments in recent years. They love hosting people at their home and living in the mountains of Colorado.

Dr. Amy Lawson Moore, Director of Psychology & Research

Dr. Amy Moore is a cognitive psychologist and the Director of Psychology and Research at LearningRx in Colorado Springs, CO at the headquarters of the largest network of cognitive training centers in the world. She specializes in neuroplasticity-based interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD, learning disabilities, concussions & TBI, and age-related cognitive decline. Her brain training research has been published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals and presented at conferences around the country. Dr. Amy leads a team of two cognitive psychologists, a clinical neuroscientist, and a psychology research associate who oversee research, assessment, and strategic challenge-solving.

Dr. Amy has been a child development specialist, parent educator, and teacher of teachers with a PhD in psychology and a master’s degree in early childhood education. She’s been working with struggling learners for 30 years. She is a TEDx speaker, host of the Brainy Moms podcast, a board-certified Christian counselor, trauma specialist, life coach, writer, an ADHD mom, and a mom with ADHD. She’s been married to the love of her life, Jeff, for 27 years & they have three adult sons. 

Director of Support, Dr. Jody Jedlicka oversees the support of brain training programs and business processes for all LearningRx Centers.

Dr. Jody Jedlicka, Director of Support

As Director of Support, Dr. Jody Jedlicka oversees the support of brain training programs and business processes for all LearningRx Centers. Jody and her husband, an educational psychologist, have operated 3 LearningRx centers in Wisconsin (2) and Hawaii and know firsthand the day-to-day life of a franchisee/director.

Jody is an audiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children with auditory processing disorders. It was her search for effective treatment options for her patients that led her to LearningRx in 2004. She is also a certified success coach and trainer.

Originally from Wisconsin, Jody has been married for more than 37 years, is mom to 3 adult children, grandma to 5 grandchildren and dog-mom to her rescue, Mikey. She spends her free time with family – traveling, biking, exploring breweries and restaurants and cheering for Milwaukee Brewers baseball. She also co-hosts a podcast, The Sisterhood of Success, with her sister.

Carrie Downs, Director of Marketing

Carrie Downs joined the LearningRx leadership team in 2023 as the Director of Marketing. Carrie has over 15 years experience in market research, campaign development, and analytics for businesses and franchise systems of all sizes.

Carrie assists the LearningRx centers across the United States and Canada in optimizing their marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency, and maximizing the brand’s visibility.

Carrie has lived in Colorado since 2011, and loves to spend time with her husband and son camping, boating, and traveling.

Natalie Speakman, Director of Development

Natalie Speakman is the Director of Development at LearningRx and oversees the marketing and sales of the company’s new brain training franchises and licenses. Natalie began her career at LearningRx in 2010 where she assumed two business-building roles. First, as Center Director for the corporate-owned LearningRx franchise in Colorado Springs, Colorado and then, as a Business Coach supporting the company’s entire network of franchise owners.

With 15+ years’ experience in the brain training industry, along with a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Natalie has made significant (and lasting) contributions to LearningRx’s systems, training processes, marketing efforts, and franchisee support programs.

A resident of Colorado Spring since 1985, Natalie considers herself a Colorado native and loves to take advantage of the beauty and outdoor lifestyle of the state. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and extended family, along with sampling new cuisines, taking long mountain drives, hiking, and watching live or broadcast comedy.
