Kindness Leads to Happiness

It seems pretty obvious, doesn’t it? Doing good deeds leads to increased happiness for both the doer and the receiver of the good deed. However, a recent study has found that this feeling of increased happiness only happens if the amount of good you do exceeds your normal level of doing good. So, for example, if you always hold the door open and tip your server well, it won’t increase your happiness levels. If however, you do multiple good deeds in one day, it can lead to increased feelings of happiness. Take a look at this video by the team at Soul Pancake and watch four do-gooders experience this feeling first hand (and then get busy with your own happiness experiment!)
