It’s Boost Your Self-Esteem Month!

February is International Boost Your Self-Esteem Month and according to the Mayo Clinic, self-esteem begins to form in early childhood. Some of the main factors that influence self-esteem include:

– thoughts and perceptions

– how others react to you

– experience at home, school, work and in the community

– illness/disability/injury

– age, role and status in society

– media messages

For school-age children and teens, having a learning disability can play a significant role in self-esteem. One of the comments we hear most often from parents whose student has gone through LearningRx one-on-one brain training is how much their confidence has soared. But don’t take our word for it! You can watch students and parents talk about confidence in their OWN words in these videos on our Student Shoutouts page: https://www.studentshoutouts.com/category/improvement/confidence/

If your child or teen is struggling in school, it’s probably hurting their self-confidence. Contact your local LearningRx Center through www.learningrx.com to find out how we might be able to help.
