Our History with Memory Decline Clients
LearningRx has worked with over 300 older adults, many of whom reported age-related memory decline. The average age of these clients is 61.3. The following charts show the improvements in cognitive skills for clients over the age of 50. The changes in standard scores on the Woodcock-Johnson III – Tests of Cognitive Abilities were statistically significant for all skills. Overall, the largest gains were seen in auditory processing and long-term memory, followed by logic & reasoning, working memory, and visual processing.
Here’s what these improvements look like on a graph:

What are “percentiles”?
LearningRx Clinical Trial for Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
The Gibson Institute of Cognitive Research recently completed a series of case studies of five individuals with previously diagnosed Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), which is the first stage of Alzheimer’s disease. The study examined the outcomes from a combination of optimized diet, exercise, nutritional supplements, and cognitive training across domains on standardized measures used to monitor treatment effectiveness for Mild Cognitive Impairment as well as with functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). These study results were presented at the American Psychological Association Annual Convention in August 2018 and published in the peer-reviewed journal Integrative and Complementary Medicine.
