Special Education Resources – The Mainstream Offerings
Special education resources fill the educational catalogs, conferences, and websites. Since federal law requires that eligible children with disabilities have special education and related services provided for them in the public school systems, special lessons, games, tools, and resources are a hot commodity.

Special education resources make absolute sense for students with major disabilities such as blindness, deafness, and physical handicaps. However, for over 80% of the children eligible for special education assistance, the standard catalog offerings are doing little to address the true learning issues. In fact, for these children, “special education” simply means that the student has a weakness in one or more cognitive skills that can be isolated and strengthened.
