A Success Story
“Since the beginning of the program, Morgan has shown a tremendous improvement in reading. We were fighting for her continued attention. She would shake her legs and play with her hair or mouth while attempting to read 2nd or 3rd grade material. She would frequently hesitate between words and paid no attention to punctuation, often merging two or three small sentences into one
incoherent mess. She now reads smoothly and focuses on the material.
We have also seen an improvement in her logic and reasoning. She participates more in group conversations asking more questions, drawing conclusions, and making appropriate comments. As a result of her successfully passing levels and the praise and encouragement she has received from her trainer, she has developed a much stronger self-image.”

“Brenden thoroughly enjoyed his time at LearningRx and always looked forward to his next visit. Initially, several of the tasks in the LearningRx program were not understood by Brenden, much less completed at an efficient level. But now he has a solid grasp of the concepts and has excelled in completing many of them. One minor point noticed before LearningRx was that Brenden would put his shoes on the wrong feet 50% of the time. Now, through the spatial exercises, he is usually able to put them on the right feet 95% of the time. Math is a breeze now at school and he doesn’t always have to play catch up.”

“Elizabeth’s main problem was her inability to read well and decode sounds, and I have seen remarkable improvements in her ability to read. Before Learning Rx, she would not attempt reading even the simplest words. Now she reads everything from signs, to cereal boxes, to actually picking books and reading them to her younger brother and even our dog. Her ability to read successfully has improved her self-esteem and confidence so much! She is so proud of herself and is more open to face challenges now that she has completed this program. She has also learned valuable lessons able a positive attitude and that failure happens only when you quit. We are so very pleased with there results, no matter what the scores reveal.”

“Alexander is working much faster, more independently and with fewer mistakes. He is more able to block out distractions and noises than before. He is more willing to take chances. He has learned his Math facts. He has always been a good reader and has only improved in his phonics and speed. The staff has always been extremely professional, warm, caring, and dedicated. Julie, Tiffany, Ashley and Natalie have all been excellent in their jobs – not only with us but with everyone walking through the door. Becky, you have an excellent staff and we appreciate your dedication and concern. We thank you all for everything!! We understand that Alexander is a very unique little boy with many challenges. We have made progress and will continue to strive to do so.”

“Learning Rx has been an answer to our prayers! Emily has been able to become a much better speller and as a result, a better reader. The memory exercises have given Emily the tools to retain information and recall this information with more accuracy and confidence. Ms. Sarah Margaret made the training sessions enjoyable while pushing Emily to her highest potential. Emily is a better and more confident student because of Learning Rx and that means the world to Keith and I as her parents. Thank you for giving us the tools to see Emily through her schooling and her career ahead of her. This is a great program and should be offered to all elementary age children. I believe it would make a world of difference to most children and their parents, too.”

“I have seen improvements in Joshua’s attention and memory and these improvements have transferred to his school performance. That is the greatest success. At his IEP meeting at the end of the school year, the teachers commented on his improved focus and concentration. He had all A’s and B’s for his final grades.”

“No more hours and hours of begging, pleading, and having to fuss about homework each night. What a blessing! It used to take every bit of the afternoons, well past bedtime, to complete homework and then it often wasn’t completed. Now, Jason is more motivated, elf-sufficient, smiling, and takes more pride in himself and his work. Homework time cut 75%, barely any more fussing; displays more interest (even in things he doesn’t like). He has even started reading on his own just for fun occasionally! He seems more confident. He
has learned to appreciate challenges and loves having a goal to work toward, with a reward at the end. He loves his trainer. He has become faster at speaking, calculations, and basically everything. He seems more organized than before. He still has a long way to go, but he has made a complete turnaround from the day he started Rx. The staff is caring and seemed to really care. The program was very expensive, but well worth the money.”

“LearningRx was a tremendous help in increasing Rachel’s ability to read out loud, and also increased her desire to read books on her own. She loved LearningRx and did not complain about going each day or about the work she was asked to do. It was easy to see that Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Moore, along with the many other LearningRx staff, cared about Rachel and wanted to see her succeed. She was made to feel welcomed, loved, and appreciated. Any good parent loves to see their child treated as special, and LearningRx was excellent at that everyday.”

“Whitney has improved a lot. She is a much better reader and speller. When she first went to LearningRx, she had difficulty with simple addition and subtraction; she no longer has that problem. Whitney’s attention span was so bad that we were considering having her evaluated for medication. It would take Whitney 2-3 hours to finish her homework; she now finishes her homework in less than 1 hour. Her scores improved on MAP. I have recommended this program to several other people.”

“Before we began the program, homework and studying for tests were a nightmare. We bickered and argued which led to great frustration, and his grades were consistently falling (along with his self-esteem). As a parent, I wanted to see my child succeed but had reached the point of exhaustion of what to do. I finally called LearningRx and felt immediate relief when the program was explained to me in greater detail. Once Adam was tested we had a plan to help him. Even he seemed more at ease. We are now finished with the program, and I have nothing but great things to say. His confidence and self-esteem have soared, and homework is not the chore it once was. Before, I felt as if I was constantly repeating myself. Now, if he needs further instruction, I usually only have to show him once. He is now confident and self-assured which is exactly what every parent wants for their child. My only regret is that I didn’t call sooner.”

“Jon began to see his homework and projects as manageable tasks that he could do well instead of overwhelming and stressful events. His anxiety has significantly decreased. LearningRx and his teacher have helped him take more responsibility for his work and time management. We think it was worth the time, effort and money.”
