“Before Jonathan came to LearningRx he read very choppy and was reluctant to sound out words. He skipped words and reversed small words like ‘was’ and ‘saw’. As a result of 6 months of the program, Jon reads smoother and above age level. He will still skip some words but not like before and reversing words has pretty much disappeared. He also has a desire to read some now. His memory has also improved. He is now remembering small details from stories that he read hours earlier and still remembers them weeks later. He also has a stronger confidence in himself and will try new things that he would not have before. We definitely recommend LearningRx to others; it was worth the
financial investment and time to see these improvements in our son. As a parent who partnered with LearningRx to train Jon, I felt very supported, encouraged and helped all while going through the program. It has been a very positive experience and a blessing from God to our family.”
Barbara D - December 2007
Mother of Jonathan, age 9
“LearningRx was able to assess our daughter’s weaknesses and then implement exercises to address them. I’m very pleased with the changes that have occurred, specifically her ability to work through distractions (focus and
attention) and her willingness to work independently.”
Teresa B - December 2007
Mother of Sabrina, age 8
“Julia has improved in her behavior at school. She is more focused and is able to stay in her seat longer. She is also seeing improvement in math. Her reading has improved and she is continuing to work on her writing. This year
she completes her homework and assignments quickly versus last year, it would take hours.”
Mary W - December 2007
Mother of Julia, age 9
“Nikolay is doing great. His memory has always been slow, but LearningRx has helped his memory so much. He has to review [Bible] verses each week and he is remembering them. I think this shows that his short-term memory is
bridging into his long-term memory. Thanks again for helping us with Nikolay’s education. LearningRx was like boot camp. It was hard work, but now Nikolay has the skills to attack school and win.”
Brian C - November 2007
Father of Nikolay, age 9
“As we travel to Raleigh from Roxboro, we have around an hour and 15 minutes. Nikolay has greatly improved in his ability to do worksheets without getting distracted in the car. Nikolay’s reading skills have improved. He has a
desire to read to us! Nikolay’s memory has improved. He is retaining more math facts! Nikolay’s language is improving. I am hearing a greater amount of vocabulary in conversation.”
Linda C - April 2007
Mother of Nikolay, age 8
“Linda and I have struggled and worked hard with planning and implementing Nikolay’s education. We have researched. We have had him tested. We have sought help from professional tutors…We have prayed for God to give us wisdom. LearningRx was a big answer. The training methods, with very hard work, produced beyond my expectations. They have given me hope that Nikolay will overcome many of his learning difficulties.”
Brian C - May 2006
Father of Nikolay, age 7
“I do enthusiastically recommend LearningRx without hesitation. The change we saw right away was a willingness to attempt work he would have argued about (homework). Within the 12 week span, we saw his conversation improve enough that relatives remarked about the difference. The best is that he doesn’t stand out as the kid that daydreams all day. He can keep up with the class without medication.”
Becky W - September 2007
Mother of Evan, age 7
“The program has been incredible for us. Drew’s attention has improved 100 times!! His organization is better and he is better able to keep track of assignments on his own. He can read much more easily, thanks to LearningRx. His grades have improved and with it, his confidence.”
Shelley R - September 2007
Mother of Drew, age 12
“Before brain training Joshua struggled with getting his homework done, focusing with distractions and doing simple math problems. Now, homework takes 15 minutes instead of 2 hours, he can focus at the table with his brother
running around, and spout off simple math problems by creating pictures of the largest number in his mind. He has [also] became a great little artist and musician.”
Elizabeth P - September 2007
Mother of Joshua, age 7
“LearningRx was able to get at the root cause of our daughters’ reading struggles and able to make more progress than any other intervention we have tried, and we have tried many. As a result the girls are reading well and can
‘word attack’ when they encounter words they have not seen before – something they could not do 6 months ago. We have also seen improvements in coordination, memory skills, attention and processing speed. Now that [she has]
started school we have noticed even more improvements. First of all, [Jennifer is] working on [her] homework after school without having to be reminded or nagged about it. We love seeing [her] so independent! …But most of all we
are so proud to see [her] read with such enjoyment and enthusiasm.”
Mary F - August 2007
Mother of Ashley and Jessica, ages 17 and 11
“Megan is doing great in school. This past school year, she made the Honor Roll twice and the Principals List twice (harder to achieve than honor roll). She likes school and really does well at reading. She is now a very confident child. Thanks for your help to get her there. My son, John, could benefit from LearningRx as well . . . however there is a challenge with our location, Cape Carteret NC, just next to Emerald Isle. It would be great for us if you opened a remote office near us.”
John M – June 2007
Father of Megan, age 8
“Just wanted to let you know, Megan has made the Principal’s List for the first nine weeks of the school year! We couldn’t be prouder of her and all the hard work she did to get to this point! The program that Liz designed for Megan was perfect. Her homework usually doesn’t get to come home – she does it in her “free” time at school! She is also reading at a 4th-6th grade level! The results so far are amazing to say the least. Thank you for all that you have done for us!”
Sissy M - November 2006
Mother of Megan, age 8
“[She is] reading on [her] own more and taking speed math tests at home for fun. [Katie] can do math word problems better… [she] can concentrate better when [she’s] working and I love [her] determination to do [her] very best.”
Lisa K - May 2007
Mother of Katie, age 7
“[Nick’s] ability to complete [his] homework assignments improved greatly. [He] went from a small group math class that was behind in Algebra in October to becoming part of the large Algebra I class and holding [his] own by the year’s end. [He has] taken up bass and, on [his] own, learned a number of songs.”
Patricia S – May 2007
Mother of Nick, age 14
“[Alex has] improved [her] grades in all subjects and is working hard. [She is] working independently and no longer needs a math tutor. [She is] more organized than ever.”
Patricia S - May 2007
Mother of Alex, age 15
“Lisa was nominated by one of her teachers as ‘Most Improved Student.’ She’s working independently, 98% of the time. Her confidence has grown. Her teachers and counselors approved a College Prep track and her English teacher
recommended her for 9th grade Honors English.”
Robert P - April 2007
Father of Lisa, age 14
“Knowing how embarrassed she felt when we first enrolled in the program, how moody and reluctant she was early on, and now seeing the transition in self-esteem, more independent work, higher grades, and demonstrably better
attitude and motivation, I can’t think of a better testimony than Lisa wanting to continue to work on LearningRx and insisting that we take MathRx next summer!”
Robert P - November 2006
Father of Lisa, age 14
“[Lisa is] working more confidently and independently in school, raising [her] grades and striving for the honor roll. Confidence increased to the degree that Lisa worked more independently. Grades in science, math and language arts have improved. She enjoys reading – she has breezed through “independent” reading assignments. Once struggling to just pass math, Lisa is making some A’s and averaging a “B” for the first time in years. We would work on problems every night at the dinner table. I would work out the problems and wait for Lisa to work out the problems…and wait…and wait. Now she is racing me to the answer and matching my speed with the correct answer!”
Robert & Betty P - December 2006
Parents of Lisa, age 14
“I just wanted to let you know that Kevin got straight A’s this quarter (Math included!)! He made the "A/B" Honor Roll last quarter and decided he wanted to make the "A"Honor Roll this time, and he did it! We're still reaping the benefits of LearningRx. Thank you!!!!!! Kevin's really been on a roll this year.”
Pam S - April 2007
Mother of Kevin, age 11
“With the struggles he had prior to LearningRx, he questioned his intelligence and abilities. Academic work that used to take hours to complete is now completed in a reasonable amount of time and without the tears and frustration he experienced before. Kevin has learned to be more organized and has developed some outstanding study habits. He used to say he hated school, but now it seems more tolerable for him. In summary, we have a much happier child who feels better about himself. He is able to do his work faster and with much less frustration.”
Pam S - October 2006
Mother of Kevin, age 11
“[Peter is] actually doing homework in record time. His confidence is tremendous! He was actually tested for the AG program (something that was not in his future a year ago). We have not received those results yet. He is reading
NOVELS and comprehending and asking great questions when he gets to a part he doesn’t understand!!! All of this we owe to LearningRx.”
Amelia K – April 2007
Mother of Peter, age 9
“When our family came to LearningRx, Peter was half-way through the second grade. Homework was horrendous and he was feeling defeated and frustrated with school and so were we. LearningRx helped Peter read and comprehend better, his math has definitely improved and his overall self-esteem has greatly increased. He’s more excited about reading books and finishing them. He’s definitely a happier and more self assured student.”
Amelia K - September 2006
Mother of Peter, age 8
“[She] now demonstrates increased motivation and confidence in [her] schoolwork. [Rebecca is] also better able to concentrate and block out distractions. [She] maintains a wonderful grade point average even during [her] training which was rewarded by recently being inducted in the National Honor Society.LearningRx has provided intense training requiring her to practice staying on task. I have observed Rebecca in other situations where she once would have
been distracted, but is able to focus now.”
Jennie B - March 2007
Mother of Rebecca, age 15
“In six months, LearningRx transformed my child from a non-reader (in her own mind) into a little girl who loves books and reading. She is now on grade level in reading and continues to make gains. Her writing and spelling ability have also improved. This has all translated into a more positive self-esteem for her – we are very pleased with her progress!”
Vanessa P - January 2007
Mother of Rachel, age 7
“Our evenings are now pleasant because there is no more crying about homework. He completes his work in a normal amount of time instead of several hours. His grades have drastically improved. He received his first “A” in reading.
We are no longer receiving notes from teachers about staying focused and turning work in on time. We have seen a tremendous improvement in his self-esteem. He participates in class and often raises his hand. The program is worth
every dime that it costs and more. We still can’t believe the changes it has made with him.”
Debbie H - November 2006
Mother of Timothy, age 10
“‘Just give up Mom. I can’t do it. I’ll just go pump gas when I grow up.’ My son once said these words to me in frustration as I was trying to help him with his homework. However, since Henry completed his LearningRx training, homework is a whole lot easier. LearningRx has helped my son in so many ways. He is a much more independent learner. He is able to keep track of homework, tests and projects with much less help. Previous to LearningRx, I or his teachers had to help him continuously and give him constant reminders to get back on track. As a result of his recent improvements, his school has recommended that he no longer receive curriculum assistance. All aspects of learning have become easier for him. He is a better reader and speller. He can recall his math facts
more quickly and remember vocabulary and facts for tests more easily. We used to set aside about 5 hours (over several days) to study for tests. He is now getting higher grades with about 30 minutes of studying. [Henry is] more confident about spelling and more willing to use bigger words when writing rather than sticking to a small vocabulary. Henry finally knows the multiplication tables. He has studied them every year since third grade (4 years). This is the first time that he has actually learned all of them. Henry is more likely to come up quickly
with funny/witty things to say. Henry’s soccer coach mentioned that Henry drastically improved in his ability to make quick decisions about where he should be on the field when defending the goal. He likes writing more and actually got excited about a couple of poems he has to write for class. Henry is now able to compete with older family members (and win) in games that require use of logic and/or math skills such as Clue and dominos. Henry has been sticking with difficult tasks (such as putting together a puzzle or trying to catch a fish) for longer than he previously did.”
Angie M - September 2006
Mother of Henry, age 12
“I have seen my son’s confidence go up ten fold. Before LearningRx he had a difficult time doing his school and homework. Now he’s doing all of his class and homework with very little help. This session is awesome; I highly recommend it to every parent whose child is having a hard time with schoolwork.”
Hubert A - August 2006
Father of Hubert, age 10
“Jesse went from becoming very frustrated, overly perfect and extremely hard on himself when performing the tasks. His trainer was fabulous; encouraging him not to be so hard on himself and to enjoy the fun of the task. As
time went on, he went from avoiding the activity to saying, ‘wait, let me try it a little longer.’ The last weeks of the program, Jesse surprised us and himself by reading several books, just for fun!”
Pam W - August 2006
Mother of Jesse, age 10
“I would highly recommend LearningRx programs. It is the first solution that I have found that addresses how to correct how you process and retain information. My child has gained new confidence. He is reading more than ever
before and understands the material. He now realizes his world is not so small and he is eager to meet new challenges.”
Kyla D - August 2006
Mother of Owen, age 9
“Within a few weeks working with LearningRx, Benjamin was gaining self confidence in memory skills and math facts. . . Within a month his teacher was seeing progress with finishing assignments, paying better attention, not being so distracted by other kids’ talking or behavior. While in the program, his teacher … scaled back his homework. Within two months, she no longer needed to modify his assignments.”
Sara B - June 2006
Mother of Benjamin, age 10
“My eight year old son improved three levels in reading in just two months during his training. He was able to memorize his spelling lists for school faster and received perfect scores on all of his spelling quizzes. His processing speed in mathematical equations improved. His piano teacher noted he was able to focus on reading his notes better and stay on beat with the music. His teacher told me that he was more attentive during circle time and participated more often. As his mother, I was pleased with the self-confidence and sense of pride my son felt with the accomplishment of each new level during the training. Overall, the program has helped my son build a strong foundation for the fundamental components of reading. The lessons he learned during his training will help him be successful throughout his academic career.”
Rhonda W - May 2006
Mother of Ken, age 8
“My daughter entered the LearningRx program lacking in phonemic awareness and word attack skills due to dyslexia. At first, she struggled with the program, but under her trainer’s constant patience and encouragement, she began to slowly make progress. Soon, she looked forward to her training sessions and the challenges that were set before her. As I watched her reading comprehension increase, I also watched her self confidence and her self-esteem increase! She was proud of her accomplishments and how much she had learned!”
Denise W - May 2006
Mother of Alison, age 10
“Reading voluntarily is huge! The joy we get from seeing her sit down with a book is wonderful. I believe her self-esteem has gotten better and that is very important to us. The program was never work, she always had fun and wanted to come to ‘play games’ with her trainer.”
Amy C - January 2006
Mother of Mackenzie, age 9
“Our daughter, Brooke, had a lot of struggles in her schoolwork. She had trouble with her grades, homework and her self-confidence. With the LearningRx program, Brooke began to make strides in all areas of learning. Today she
is able to do a good portion of her studies on her own and her self-confidence has greatly improved.”
Philip G - January 2006
Father of Brooke, age 8
“Nicholas has always struggled in school... He has been through numerous programs including tutoring from a teacher for 1 year, weekly tutoring for the last 3 years, vision therapy, school testing, IEP, Great Leaps, even All Kinds of Minds. Despite all these interventions, and despite a normal IQ, Nicholas continued to have a hard time ‘learning how to learn’… I could see his self-esteem suffer, especially when he had to be taken out of the classroom
daily for special education. Then I received the LearningRx magazine… When Nicholas came home with so many failing grades, I found myself considering yet another program… Nicholas was tested, and the results revealed that he was
below age equivalent in almost every area…We started right away and were immediately taken with the trainer. He was an expert at motivating and encouraging my child… [Nicholas] willingly did the hard work necessary to progress through this program… Then he started talking about his future, which now included a four year college - something he would never have considered. It didn’t stop there - he then decided he may want to be a doctor! His grades
started improving. He no longer had to retake tests that he failed so miserably. He carried himself higher. He started talking of being on the A/B Honor Roll. Nicholas finished the post testing after his 24 weeks and was able to confirm what he knew – that he grew by leaps and bounds. It was because of my child’s dedication and the expert training he received through the LearningRx multidisciplinary program that a world of possibilities for the future
exists for him.”
Karen H - December 2005
Mother of Nicholas, age 13
“I’m thrilled that my son has been able to quit taking all ADD medication. The training provided specific, measurable accomplishments that boosted Jacob’s confidence and self-image. I think that the skills he has discovered and enhanced though brain training will be a benefit to him the rest of his life.”
Perry H - October 2005
Father of Jacob, age 15
“The biggest improvement has been Brooke’s self-esteem. The improved self-esteem has led to her being able to get off of med[ication] due to ADD.”
Lynn B - August 2005
Mother of Brooke, age 8
