LearningRx Announces Free Dyslexia Researching Offer
Colorado Springs, CO (Grassroots Newswire) -
Colorado Springs-based LearningRx is offering parenting publications free research on the subject of dyslexia.
“1 out of 5 U.S. children is affected by dyslexia,” explains LearningRx Director of Public Relations Tanya Mitchell. “We want to do all we can to inform the public about the disability. By offering parenting publications free research for dyslexia-related articles to be published in October, which is National Dyslexia Month, we’re hoping diagnostic and treatment information will get into the right hands.”
According to the National Institutes of Health, dyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurological in origin. It is characterized by difficulties with accurate and/or fluent word recognition, and by poor spelling and decoding abilities.
“There are treatments to improve the lives of people suffering from dyslexia,” explains Mitchell. “We’ll do anything we can to inform people about their options.”
LearningRx feels so strongly about the benefits dyslexia-related articles can have on the general public, it is willing to provide the following information to parenting publications free of charge:
- Relevant dyslexia research conducted by the National Institutes of Health
- Contact information for interview sources from national dyslexia associations
- Contact information for families who have struggled with and overcome the disability
- Photographs of children receiving treatment for dyslexia
- Parent tools to reduce the risk of learning problems
- Any other information parenting publications request about dyslexia
LearningRx Centers help individuals of all ages and performance levels. Unlike tutoring or computer-based programs that focus on behavior management or specific academic skills, LearningRx provides cognitive skills training that improve the brain's ability to process information. It does for mental abilities and the brain what exercise does for the body. LearningRx is one of the country’s fastest-growing franchise systems.
