Indianapolis-Area LearningRx Wins Two Awards at National Convention

Colorado Springs, Colorado – The Carmel LearningRx Center was presented with the President’s Award and the Community Impact Award at the company’s 2006 National Convention held in Colorado Springs this weekend.
“We’re proud of the tremendous accomplishments of our Indianapolis-area team,” explains LearningRx President and Founder, Ken Gibson. “Franchise owners Laurie Ferry and Bill Foley and their staffs are impacting hundreds of lives in Indiana with their commitment to improving the way people learn.”
According to Gibson, the Carmel center is a proven leader among LearningRx’s other franchises and a catalyst for expansion. “The success of the Carmel team,” says Gibson “is part of the reason we are growing so rapidly.”
Colorado Springs-based LearningRx recently increased its number of franchises from 36 to 42. The purchase of franchises in several metropolitan locales this summer indicates franchise growth of over 16 percent.
“In Indiana and throughout the nation, our learning centers are experiencing phenomenal success,” says Gibson. “We intend to continue increasing profitability while improving the cognitive skills of people everywhere.”
According to Dean Tenpas, LearningRx Chief Operations Officer, the President’s Award is given to the franchise making the most outstanding contributions to the development of the LearningRx Franchise System, and the Community Impact Award is given to the highest performing franchise, in terms of the most number of students.
LearningRx Centers help individuals of all ages and performance levels. Unlike tutoring or computer-based programs that focus on behavior management or specific academic skills, LearningRx provides cognitive skills training that improve the brain's ability to process information. It does for mental abilities and the brain what exercise does for the body.
