Parent Testimonials

“We first went to LearningRx last May because we saw that Joey had potential that wasn’t being reached. He was struggling with assignments at school and getting through large amounts of homework. We needed to help him out of this struggle before he got burned out. So we committed to 6 months with the ReadRx program, knowing it would not be easy. We asked for a trainer from our church, if possible, and couldn’t believe it when we were assigned Dana, who is not only from our church but also a familiar friend! She did a superb job working with Joey. She was always cheerful and positive and dedicated. She kept Joey very challenged to stretch his brain!

About three-fourths of the way through, we noticed that Joey grew very interested in recreational reading. That was very encouraging! We could clearly see that reading was not the struggle that it used to be. ReadRx has also been a big confidence builder in all areas concerning schoolwork. He is taking less work home, needs less help from mom and dad to complete it, and gets it done in less time.”

“We have 3 daughters and our fourth child was our son Paul. We did not find it necessary to be involved in our daughters’ learning processes, so when Paul struggled in kindergarten we were caught off guard. Paul was identified early due to our personal relationship with his kindergarten teacher, so we thought we were getting everything taken care of in the public school system. After 5 years with as much help as the system could offer, we were told Paul did not need special help any longer. Well, 5th grade did not prove to be his best year. Paul struggled so much, even with intense help from us, his parents.

We were at the end of our rope and the teachers were more than happy letting Paul move to middle school with way below average performance. My husband and I came to the conclusion that we would not be the help that would bring Paul to an average level of performance. I was describing my problem at work when a co-worker told me that they had the exact same problem years ago and they found LearningRx to be their answer.

I made appointments with all of the learning institutions in our area and was very impressed with LearningRx, because they were not just going to help Paul with his homework, they would help him with his learning barriers. We started with the plan that we shared the instruction time and we soon realized that Paul got a lot more from the times he spent with the LearningRx trainers.

We changed plans and started to see improvement. It has taken over seven months and we have watched Paul blossom in middle school. Paul has begun to bring home A’s, B’s, and one D. Not perfect, but Paul does feel tremendously better about himself and that is a beginning I can be happy with. I just feel that Paul has a better understanding of what is really needed to achieve his goals. Paul’s trainers were so patient with him and knew exactly what to do to motivate him.”

“I improved on reading and writing. I think it was because I was helped by LearningRx. I liked the visualization exercises, especially golf and tic tac toe. In my classroom, I have improved on reading fluency and now I like to read more than ever. Thank you for giving me a nice trainer, Sadie.”

“Will’s struggles began in 1st grade. I was told he was just a little behind. By 2nd grade and a new school district, he was way behind. He was tested and put in special education. For 18 months, I waited and hoped, but no significant improvements came. I looked at many programs for tutors since the public school system wasn’t helping too much.

I talked with my children’s pediatrician. She said several families in her practice had had some success with LearningRx. The cost was more affordable and less time was required in the program weekly. We talked with the staff and felt this was the right program for Will.

Will was excited about starting the program and hoped for results to make his schoolwork easier. The work was difficult for him and often he was frustrated, but he stuck with it! Slowly but surely, his reading improved.

I am happy with his progress, although we still have some obstacles to work on. We have the tools to continue his training at home as needed. Overall LearningRx has been a good experience for our family and we are thankful for them.”

““LearningRx has helped me with my math, because it used to take me awhile to finish it if it was homework. My favorite game was Reasoning Braincards. It was fun to play. You would get some cards and try to find a match. There were 3 different shapes, 3 different sizes, and 3 different angles. LearningRx has also challenged me to work my brain into a pulp. It had fun exercises like mini golf and arrows. My trainer has taught me well!”

“I had an awesome time here at LearningRx. I learned that I have a strong brain if I want. At LearningRx, my trainer and I had a fabulous time, and I learned that I’m good at math, spelling, reading, paper mine golf, and other fun stuff. I really love LearningRx. I can do anything if I put my mind to it!”
