“I am so happy that I called LearningRx and very thrilled with the decision that I made to follow through and sign Mia up. Mia was very reluctant to start on her first day, which made me very nervous; however by the end of her session she was a completely different person. She was very excited and could not wait to tell me the names of the 1st 10 U.S. Presidents. Throughout each school year Mia was always on an up and down rollercoaster with struggles in Math, routine tasks, organization and completion of assignments. There were many nights of crying and being up late to complete homework. It was very tough, and at times heartbreaking. We tried another learning program and tutoring, but she was still struggling. I always felt something else was going on. Since coming to LearningRx, Mia has made great progress. She began completing assignments during class time and doing homework during afterschool care with little to no errors soon after the 1st week of training. She was able to recall lessons reviewed in class and showed tremendous improvement in her grades. Her self confidence and attitude has become so much more positive and evident. It shows at home in the little things she does. Mia really enjoyed her experience and can’t wait to share this with her friends. Thank you so much to the staff and personal trainer of LearningRx for opening the door, taking the time and being so supportive in teaching Mia to believe she can do it. God Bless.”

“Devin has the distinction of being the first student registered at the LearningRx Center in Sanford, FL. We are very proud of him for his progress in the program and thankful for the very positive and professional learning environment provided by the trainers and staff at LearningRx. We were interested in finding a program that would help Devin improve his academic learning skills, especially his reading speed and comprehension. When we received the mail flyer advertising LearningRx we visited them and, after discussing the program with Suzanne and Tammy, we decided to have him tested. After testing, we initially enrolled him in the ThinkRx program and were so happy with the results and his positive attitude towards it; we decided to add the ReadRx program. Throughout his involvement in the program, Devin has maintained his positive attitude and has always been willing and anxious to go to class. He has bonded well with his trainers and always speaks well of his experience. We think the visualization and repetition aspects of the program were very beneficial to Devin’s success. We also give a great deal of credit to his trainers, Rayne, Tammy and Kim, for their patience with him and helping him work through his times of difficulty and frustration. They are truly caring people and a credit to their profession. The LearningRx center provided Devin with an excellent young student oriented learning environment as evidenced by the games available in the lobby, the various competitive contests, bulletin board displays and the rewards point program, which were all very meaningful to him. They also treated him as in control of his program, speaking directly to him about it. They were even very patient about dealing with his nature of constantly negotiating for points and purchases from the treasure cabinet. Devin’s post-program results show an approximate two year age improvement and we have noted a marked improvement in his academic focus and reading comprehension. We believe that, although his measurable improvements are noteworthy, the real benefits of the program are yet to be known. They will come from his improved self-confidence, having learned that with positive effort on his part, he can accomplish things he once thought were impossible. All in all, we are very satisfied with the LearningRx program and believe Devin will benefit from his involvement the rest of his life. We are also grateful to all the personnel at the center for their positive impact on Devin. We would recommend the program to anyone seeking to help their child improve their learning skills. Thank you all!!!”

“When I received the flyer in the mail explaining the LearningRx program, I knew it was what we were looking for to help Ryan. We had considered tutoring, but it didn’t address his underlying problems with reading comprehension and focus in the classroom. One of the first things we noticed after Ryan started the program was that he was finishing his homework faster. He was also starting to get A’s on his reading comprehension tests. He not only was reading his chapter books, but he was excited about the characters and the stories in them. We are so happy with his progress. Thank you.”

“As background information, starting at three years of age, Mark has had a number of experiences with speech/language and OT testing and therapy. Some were much better than others, but we had the gnawing feeling in our gut that the 11 years of therapy was just keeping him afloat. He needed a more permanent solution. In December, Mark was assessed by the South Florida office of Lindamood Bell. His greatest need was in processing information. We saw a LearningRx’s flyer explaining how they train the brain and work on cognitive skills and it seemed to be exactly what would help him the most. The lesson from the Bible where giving a man a fish feeds him for a day but teaching a man to fish feeds him for life, describes the new approach to Mark’s struggles that LearningRx provided; compared to the therapy approach that he spent 11 years doing. When Mark was about 11 years old, he became very interested in any program or skill that would help him deal with the challenges of ADHD. No matter how many times he went through any of these processes, he maintained a positive “can do” attitude. In all of the assessments Mark has yielded similar results. We have been searching for a program that would improve the specific cognitive skills that he has struggled with for years. It is important to us, and to Mark, that he feel he is as capable as his peers. It has been heartbreaking to watch him struggle with the same issues year after year. He always knew what he wanted to say. He just didn’t have the confidence, focus, or connection to say it. After our first meeting with the staff at LearningRx, we liked what we heard. Especially in today’s economy, we could not afford to spend a significant sum of money with minimal benefit. Suzanne and Sandy spend quite a bit of time with us explaining the results of Mark’s assessment and how the program and techniques will strengthen his skills. Initially, Mark was not too enthusiastic about the time commitment and hard work. After taking a look around the center, meeting some of the staff, and working with Sandy on the “presidents” exercise, he was hooked. He did well on remembering the first ten Presidents and was excited to start his training immediately. Suzanne and Sandy felt strongly that Mark should be paired with someone special. The rapport between Mark and his trainer would be integral to him being excited about his after school session, five days a week and an hour each day for the next 12 weeks. The staff assessed Mark based on his personality and considered what skills he most needed to improve. Whether it was Suzanne or Sandy who made the final selection, the arrangement was a perfect match. He was instantly enamored with his trainer, Lily. All of the staff at LearningRx made us feel like they had known us for years. This type of environment and personalization were key to creating a positive atmosphere for Mark to focus on learning and improving his skills.”

“Briefly, before we began LearningRx, Hannah had a difficult time with her schooling. She has cerebral palsy, and, while she is intelligent, she had a difficult time with reading and math. She often lost her place while reading, stumbled over words, or misread them completely. In math, Hannah was unable to memorize basic math facts, write out a simple computation, or do mental math. We repeated 1st grade math three times, in three different ways (she's homeschooled), using a variety of techniques, with no success. What she learned on Monday, she forgot by Tuesday. We also used multiple avenues for working on reading. Even with one-on-one intensive training, Hannah was falling further and further behind. In 2nd grade, she was tested and her reading level was only 2nd semester K.

Within a few weeks of beginning LearningRx, everything fell into place for Hannah. She can now read with ease, is able to refocus and find her place if distracted, mentally compute triple digit numbers, has memorized her math facts, and now loves to play strategy games with the family (something she was unable to do before). She's like a 'normal' kid now. She's able to complete her schoolwork on time, with a normal amount of help with Mom, and retain what she has learned. Thanks for all you've done! I would pay a million bucks for this. God bless!”

“Hunter is a very caring and compassionate young man. He is your typical middle-schooler. He was a reluctant candidate for LearningRx. He was not convinced that a “program for the brain” was going to help him in school. What middle school aged child is going to admit they don’t know everything! Not only did we see little subtle changes in his approach to studying, preparing for tests and actually reading for fun, BUT he actually looked forward to coming to LearningRx! He never complained about the time spent away from activities and friends. His trainer was wonderful and showed that learning can be fun! It was a very rewarding experience! We are so proud of him!”

“Before my child started going to LearningRx, he was experiencing difficulty in keeping up at school. He was getting increasingly frustrated and no amount of time and assistance at home with school assignments seemed to help him. It became clear to us that subject matter tutoring would be of limited benefit at this juncture. He needed something more. It was fortuitous that we received in the mail a brochure regarding LearningRx. What it offered in terms of assessment and critical skill set development was that “something more.” We enrolled our child in ThinkRx Pro.

We didn’t tell our son why he was going to LearningRx, but from the very first session, he was excited. He seemed to sense that this was the place where he could get help. We noticed an immediate change in his attitude towards homework. He seemed more willing to tackle the task. Over the 12 weeks, our son is working at a quicker pace and with less assistance from us. The shift in his attitude alone has made his time spent at LearningRx worthwhile. This goes a long way in building his confidence in his ability to do well. With his developing skill sets, he is at the point where we can focus on subject matter tutoring at a pace conducive for his learning.”

“W.D. was diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2005 and underwent two months of chemotherapy. At the urging of his neurologist we have acted on several of her recommendations. One recommendation was to go through the LearningRx program to train the brain and regain some speed in recall. The think program has been effective. W. D.’s grades have improved as well as his memory. I believe it has made a positive difference for him. The teachers of the program are genuinely interested in the student’s development and success. Overall, our experience was positive.”
